I tried that to a certain extent, this portion does not get touched by the pad. The inner "hub" part stays black it's just that small ring portion that pisses me off. I know it's nothing to worry about just don't want to see rust when everything else looks clean and nice. I've seen other rotors without rust there and didn't know if something could be done to prevent it.
