Wait... just kidding.

That blows man... maybe take it to a body shop and see what they can recommend?

I had a couple of little chips in my paint that were rusting as well that I was able fix myself. I bought some rust dissolved and using a super fine brush applied it directly to the chip without getting it on the paint. Then I rinsed it off and after it dried I applied some touch up paint. Looks a ton better and now I'm not paranoid that my fenders are going to rust through and bubble my paint. I used Dr colorchip because I had a bunch of road rash to take care of as well, but since yours is in a pretty inconspicuous place any touch up paint should do. Good luck.

So this doesn't fall under corrosion protection?

The warranty only covers "rust through" panels

Looks like a door jam. I would say it's an easy fix. Some touch up paint might be needed.

Or bangs the door into a concrete curb or a parking post.

That's an easy fix and isn't something you would expect Nissan to warranty.

curiously enough, if it were to rust through (perforate), Nissan would be obligated to cover it.
