I don't like Atlanta's airport...two big and busy. I fly in an out of there once or twice a year.

I fly in and out of ATL almost every Sunday and Thursday.

So out of curiosity, do any of you guys have a radio scanner in your cars? Or just radar detectors?

I might make a thread about this later. I don't think I'll get one, but I was just wondering if any of you guys could tell me how well it works etc and if it's worth the hassle.

If you happen to use a mobile hotspot and have an internet based scanner running vs. hardware actually in the vehicle...
That said, I dont see how it is worth it since the good signals are encrypted.

I think having a police scanner in your car is illegal? Not sure, but I do have a Valentine One radar detector.

(Maybe someone on here is a LEO and could verify if scanners get you a reservation to the sore butt hotel or not)

I know here in NY that scanners and jammers in cars are illegal. But they're legal at a home residence.
