DIY: Finally Installed The STILLEN G3 Intake today! Lots of Pics inside (AK370Z)

Great add to this DIY AppleZ. The vid was a great add. You must be very lucky to have a bro that would help you out with that install...

Ha your ride's description should read, "Drive's his brother's 2011 370Z." ha. Good install together.

i have a question
what is the function for the air ducts?
is it possible to install the intake without both of the air ducts?

I would assume so, but the main function they I see is that they keep the tubes in place. Without them, the tubes are basically floating...

Next is the oil cooler. I'm quickly realizing that it needs to be installed. Dunno if I can DIY though.

Too bad you don't live closer, it wouldn't be a problem to have it done in the garage.

We had the same problem when I installed the intake on my bro's car. Here is how you fix it (from the maunal, page 2-41):

If the windows do not close automatically

If the power window automatic function (closing only) does not operate properly, perform the following procedure to initialize the power window system.

1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Close the door.

3. Open the window completely by operating the power window switch.

4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely.

5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete.

6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.

If the power window automatic function does not operate properly after performing the procedure above, have your vehicle checked by a NISSAN dealer.

You can find the fix in your owners manual if it ever happens again.
