Chevy has a drag race CPO Camaro that is electric. The price is over $100,000.

With EV's, the only differences between manufacturers will be exterior and interior styling and features and build quality. The various brands will buy their electric motors from the same suppliers. It won't be like now where a Nissan has a Nissan-made engine, and a Chevrolet has a GM-made engine. I will never sell my 370Z, will buy a 400Z, and perhaps a used C7 Grand Sport as well!

Jfc, didnt we create a rule on this forum to not bring politics into the regular discussion threads? Also, to the op.... that ban only applies to Japan itself, the manufacturers based there are still allowed to make ICE vehicles for the rest of the world, at least until everyone converts over to some alternative

We might be walking a fine line. Im not talking directly about politics. Im saying... politics is f**king with my enthusiasm for cars. F*** all politicians. Love gas engine v6/v8s+. End of story.

Yes, it only applies to Japan itself. But the point is, if you cut enough markets, it won't be profitable for Nissan to make the Z anymore for just a few select markets that still allow gas engines. When the 370Z premiered, it was sold in North America, Europe, Japan, Russia, Australia and the Middle East.

Now all that is left post-2035 is North America, Australia and the Middle East.

Also, you do realize that California and Massachusetts have already enacted a 2035 ban, with probably more states (and the incoming Harris administration) to follow suit?

The way your original post reads it sounds as if you're implying that Japan is ceasing production of ICE altogether which we know is not true, apologies if i misunderstood but that's just what i got out of your original post
