No way could I ever do anything like this myself, but one question: isn't the gap between the roof and cage excessive?

No, I dropped the cage down and forward as much as possible to permit doing the weld required on the top of it due to a 360degrees weld mandatory. |

The cage should be finish in the next couple days. Every mounting plates/boxes has been welded today and the cage welded to them which wasn't as bad as I thought due to not having a lot of space to weld around the base. The cage did twisted about half an inch today before I realized it and I quickly corrected the situation its pretty even on both side now.hopefully I can finish the welding on the cage and finish with the rest of the reinforcement tubing. |
