Congrats on the DIY install. It seems that all the customers that have installed the kit themselves are happy, and did not find the install to be all that difficult. Money saved, and more importantly, you know the kit very well if you install it yourself. This IMO is very important.

It puts a smile on my face when I see customers install these kit on their own....it assures me that I as a manufacturer made the kit simple enough to make this possible.

The car sounds great in the video as well. IMO the combination of the twin scroll kit and the F.I exhaust system is a perfect match. Not too quiet, not too loud, but the other drivers will know something is going on under the hood.

Thanks guys! I totally agree on the sound. Not obnoxiously loud but not quiet by any means. Really nice exhaust note and intoxicating turbo noises lol. It seems like the VQ off throttle hiss is gone too. That always annoyed me. So far I couldn't be happier.

The install really isn't that bad at all. I did it completely alone on jack stands in my garage. The only snag was me not pushing that fuel rail harness a millimeter farther to lock in. Just a simple mistake on my part. Like Sasha said, now I know every bit of this kit which will be great for maintaining the car down the road. Great product from BP and even better customer service

Got underneath the car last night to try and get the exhaust to line up better. It seemed like I still had a small leak at the rear v-bands. I loosened everything up and discovered by pushing the y-pipe as far to the passenger side as it would go, things lined up much better. The thing that threw me off at first is at first glance it looks way off, but the flex sections allow it to bend into position pretty much perfectly. Without doing this, I wasn't able to get the faces lined up flush. It was a little tricky getting things tightened up while trying to keep everything in position since I was having to pull things in different directions but I managed. Took it for a spin this morning and believe that did the trick.

I also found a couple very small oil leaks and snugged up those connections. I'll check again tonight to make sure they're fixed. I do still have something that rattles a tiny bit when I go over moderate bumps. I'm sure it's an oil line or something like that. Probably going to be hard to track down since I can't really simulate it while under the car.

Two more days until I get her tuned

Yea that's part of the game. Exhaust components can be tricky. With time they will settle more. Just keep checking things weekly.

Yeah the flex sections have already loosened up a bit as Sasha said they would and were easier to work with this time around. I'm really glad I did the install myself so I can make all these little adjustments on my own. I wouldn't even have noticed the oil leaks if I hadn't gone looking for them. It wasn't enough to even drip on the ground. It was just building up some residue around the leaks.

I have always been an advocate for DIY if you have the means to do so for that reason. You never know when you will have minor hiccups, and its best to know your way around your car so you can resolve any issues yourself, rather than have to take it somewhere and pay money.

How was the electrical during the install? Im pretty well rounded mechanically, but im retarded when it comes to electrical.

Something like this I'd DIY in a heartbeat. It looks like a fun project. I farmed out my TT kit because I had no desire to drop the motor and tap the head and oil pan. Good job on this one making it DIY friendly. That's a substantial cost savings there.

This is spot on, and the driving force behind all the kits that I have available. A lot of time is spent making things as simple as possible for the installer.

The electrical is very easy, but those that did the install can chime in.

The scavenge pump harness is plug'n play. Positive terminal to BAT +, negative terminal to BAT -, for the pump there is a water tight connector/plug, and then you just plug in your relay on/off source in your fuse box. All the fuses are already in the harness when the customer receives it.

The fuel injectors are also plug'n play

The fuel pump..there is two wires that need to be soldered, but it is very easy. The instructions go in to good details with this.
