I guess it gives it some color. Those gender benders love each other.

Oh I really miss the little VW TDI wagon. The way turbo diesels are, the tidal wave of torque in the low rpm, makes for great fun while being the complete opposite to the Z.

Man I really missed the mark on my guesses huh…

This thing got a chit load of low end torque. It's quick off the line.

Well my GT4RS in sitting on the bottom of the ocean as of today. The car carrier that was on fire sunk. Going to be a lot of pissed off people who was waiting on their cars.

Rusty, are you being serious about the GT4RS? I didn't follow the entire thread, but I only ask because there was another member who made a post about that ship with all the porsches on it. I'm just not sure if you are joking and referencing to that post, or if you actually had the one GT4RS on it...

Anyone waiting for a New Porsche or VW?

That's the best vehicle that motor comes in. Gorgeous. Are you going to overland with it in place of the RV?

No. We got rid of the Grand Cherokee and the Power Wagon. The Gladiator will be a DD and mini Power Wagon.

aaahhhhh....for the whole time, I thought you still had the Power Wagon, so I completely ruled out any sort of pickup style vehicles or any diesel.

Glad you laid the GT4 thing to rest. There was that 1% chance that I still cling onto. Now I am in peace.

You should some of them on the Gladiator forum. 40" tires are almost mandatory.

I'm headed to this event on Saturday:

https://southeastoverlandoffroadexpo.com/

Getting my Commander Hemi more and more looking like that Gladiator pic with all the Overland goodies.

Nice. Congrats.

Don’t forget

37-40s should run hydro assist. So psc setup.

38-40s should run 60s or 60/14b ff.

Driveshafts

If you go over 37s, the transfer case can get finicky but iirc there’s a flash for it.

Atlas II or IV not yet a available but I’m sure it’s coming. Pure mechanical tc doesn’t play well with the electrics unlike jk’s.

Love those gladiators, but remember 8 lugs are always cooler than 5.

This is going to be a slow build. Fixed income.
I think 37's. General MT's.

PSC doesn't have anything yet for the diesel.

RCV axles for the Dana 44 for sure. Plus trusses. Either woods or Adams driveshafts.

Dynatrac 60/60 axles $$$$ You want to buy them for me?

No issues with the transfer case. Guys on the forum are running 43's with no problems.

I loved my general grabber x3s. I’d have them still but they don’t go over 37”.

I think slow builds are the better way to go regardless, more time to figure out the best mods.

Psc will get that sorted in time, the market is too big. Until then iiirc redneck ram is n option.

Can’t go wrong with rcvs and a truss.

I’ve been living my best 8 lug life for a year and a half, UD60s here. Personally, if I had a do over, I’d have gone fusion elite 60s. Dynatrac is good, but imo, fusion is the new standard. If I win the lottery, I’ll hook you up with a fusion elite 60/60 package.

I know the jl rubis (and I’m assuming the jt rubis) have had issues bc the new nv241or isn’t purely mechanical anymore and has electrics and synchros in it now but good to hear it’s no problem for the jt. We’re sticking with 35s for my wife’s jlur so I haven’t researched any tc stuff for the jl/jt in quite a while.
