I am running 93 and made 501whp @ 11.5 psi with oil temps around 205F. Made 490whp @ 10 psi with oil temps close to 180-190F. It is also tuned to be a bit on the safer side if I remember correctly.

For those looking at numbers, remember that every dyno will ready differently, and every tuner will tune to what they feel "comfortable" with. The best way to find out how much power you have is to take it to the drag strip like some of my local customers. I think they ran 11's on street tires and 2.2 60' times. Can't remember the trap speed, but it was up in the 120's (from memory). This is with minimal drag strip experience too.

I do understand every dyno reads differently and tuners will as well... Just trying to get an avg number that people are pushing the kit to. I feel like his 500 at 11psi is on the lower side that ive seen on your kit. Didnt the first one make around 500 on under 10 psi? just trying to remember off the cuff, i could be wrong.

![]() At the point where he made 550whp (94 octane), the boost reading was 9psi. We tried to get the boost to hold solid at 10psi all the way through but the VVEL seems to have a drastic effect on boost tapering for some reason. The key thing to look at is that the HP keeps going up despite the slight drop in boost. Here is another tune with 93 octane gas: R/T Tuning – Dyno Tuning & Engine Performance Specialists – Boosted Performance + R/T Tuning + Nissan 370z = A Match Made in Heaven Since the prototype was built, I have switched the turbine housing size to the 1.15 a/r vs the 1.0 a/r that we started off with. It offers more flow, and as a result a more efficient system. With these engines revving so high, I would not hesitate going with a 1.32 a/r turbine housing. It will spool a bit slower, but the top end would really make up for it.

If you go for a twin turbo kit, expect to spend thousands more. Other kits out there do not come with a downpipe which costs 800+ alone. Then you will need an oil cooler kit too. The BP kit eliminates the downpipe and comes with a oil cooler. If you have someone else install it, it will take less time and cost far less to do the install than a twin turbo kit. I mean, don't get me wrong, when you are going for big power you should not skimp out on cost. Even though you should not skimp out on it, it is still a factor when it comes to shopping for a kit. With the high quality of the BP kit, the price for it is quite cheap if you ask me. |

I appreciate the info and original kit dyno sheet... Im not sure exactly how the air flow changes with the bump to a 1.15 (i understand that it does change and why it changes), but what does that change correlate to. Just more uptop power, more power across the board, slower spool time, more total power potential but the need for more psi to reach the same power lower in the band, etc?
500-550 is really my starting goal, which is perfect in this kit but would love to down the road build the engine a year or so later and push towards 650+ if possible. How much of a potential difference is there with the upgraded 67mm turbo. Thats the largest that fits the kit i recal reading somewhere correct?

The 67mm turbo (which you can purchase with the kit for $200 extra) will get you well in to the 600's. I have customer with the 6266 on a VQ35DE in the mid 600's on pump gas. That is the smaller turbo, and smaller turbine. Supra guys have made over 800whp with the 6766 turbo, so it will make a lot of power. The nice thing about this kit is that you can get the 67mm turbo upgrade for $200 now, go with the 1.15 a/r turbine housing and then when you build the engine it is only another $250 to upgrade the turbine housing...allowing you to max out the system.
