I would also like to know the level of skill required for this, as I have enough miles on my clutch now to move ahead. I don't think I'm so concerned about the S/C part of the install as the fuel upgrades. I've read through the CJM .pdf file two or three times, and having never done anything like this before, just can't quite visualize what I might be getting myself into. I have done basic repairs on cars, and have a good set of tools, but never anything like this.
There is a speed shop near where I live with experience installing s/c's and turbos, but I'd rather not pay the labor if this is something that's relatively straightforward, and just an investment in time. I'd also like the satisfaction that I installed it myself, if at all possible...but not at the cost of getting in over my head! I'd appreciate some honest evaluations of skill level and time. Thanks!

That's why we get the stillen kit, as long as you have the CARB sticker, you're okay. Most smog shops won't know if you added the a2a kit. All that they do is plug into the obd2 port and as long as your not showing any codes you should be okay.

i honestly think i would buy another Z over swapping engines for ridiculous BS smog laws lol
370's are super cheap now and in my mind that is wroth not dropping a block to appease hippy lawmakers. ![]()

PA has the most ridiculous set of auto laws i've ever read however no CARB and also lighter enforcement unless the cop is a dbag or having a bad day. i've ran straight pipes for 4 years or so and i've been stopped more to talk about the car than an infraction lol last actual stop was 99 in a 55 but the cop discussed the car and saw i had numbers on the window from the strip and was asking what it ran lol then let me go with "driving in the left lane not for passing" $115 fine and no points i was ok with it.

Could someone please give me the part # or a link to the exact air filter used in this kit?
The one I have from the accident is all dirty. It has an insane amount of dirt in there it turned literally almost black. I hit it against the cement trying to shake the dirt out about 500+ times and it is still really dirty. I don't want to buy the K&N cleaning kit because it cost like $15, whereas I rather just buy a brand new one of these filters. Please and thank you if someone has a link or part number for it. =)

Were you suggesting getting rid of your filter or just pointing out reasons for possible low boost? If your filter stopped a bunch of belt dust from entering your engine, I definitely keep it!
