GT-R turbos on the VQ37

I'm just going to throw this out there, but you could start a go fund me page. I've got $5 buck for you, lol. Honestly, what you were able to

Honestly, what you were able to do and write about on here has been fun to watch and if it costs me a cup of coffee then I'm in. I'd like to see how this turbo and motor combo develop. I know it's a hard sell to ask for money so you can hot rod your car around, but people on here would get it. Who knows you could literally raise dozens of dollars! Just saying'.

I think that's a great idea - and I'd go a step further and suggest that if you could put together a kit for sale that uses takeoff parts from GTRs, you could probably raise a good bit of money. You're knocking on the door of offering a mild turbo kit that uses stock GTR parts (reliability, QC), for way less than what's currently out there. You'd have to supply the manifold, downpipe, intercooler, and intake pipes. Customer sources the fuel and tuning. Just a thought...

I really appreciate the thought! Anything could help and I might consider this if my funds don't allow me to fix this car by Feb/March.

Thank you!

I would love to do this but the problem is the initial cost for a single kit like that. I like the idea though especially since my friends broken VQ laying around in my backyard (Fabricate piping on it)

Currently the car is still running fine, but i'm scared of driving it because of the eventual bearing spinning out. I do have all my gauges and flex fuel wired in.

I do have some good news for you guys though! I was reading through the Ecutek guide the other day only to discover that using the GT-R map sensor on a Z makes it read 0.23 bar too high when logging it.

I finally got a boost gauge and my car makes 8.5~ PSI at around 5500 then drops to less than 7 PSI near redline!

It finally makes sense why I made 460~ WHP 375 WTQ

Mystery solved! I wonder why the MAP sensor reads inaccurately.

So I had the pleasure of meeting Husam in person since we live in the same state and couple minutes away and I just have to say, what he is doing with this car and the experiments, it's coming out really nice!

^That's what you crowdfund for! You already have the kit, just make jigs for all the piping, and crowdfund the initial investment for the first run of parts. It could pretty much run like a presale/group buy. Once you have a couple sales under your belt, it can fund itself!

Thank you all for the suggestion. I have started a gofund me page just as suggested in hopes that it will help me start selling these kits for an affordable price.

Thank you everyone for everything along this great journey. I'm currently saving up for a used engine so I can drop my subframe and work on making a jig for inlets and downpipes to be sold with the adapter kits. I'm hoping to have enough saved up for a used engine by February so I can have the pieces ready to ship before summer.

Thank you! I really appreciate the help from you guys

Here’s a small update. Finally got a revised steering rack shim/spacer to make the oem braces fit without modification!

Default GT-R turbos on the VQ37

Mounted it on the car. The steering shaft clears perfectly while only spacing the rack down 1/2 an inch! GTM's earlier kits spaced it out by a whole inch.

Also, here's some pictures of how the turbos look from the underside with the downpipes.

Don't mind the steering shaft scratches. That was before I added any spacers at all.

Budget doesn't afford me anything more than the Megan Y pipe and a open dump past the diff but it sounds perfect!

My nismo exhaust is for sale if anyone wants it!!
