I would actually prefer a meatier clutch feel, the Exedy is pretty light for a sports car. Jumping back in my R34 GT-T and I'm reminded what a man's clutch SHOULD feel like. Much heavier and meatier.

The only thing that bugs me about the Z's transmission is the notchy 1st -> 2nd shift. I read a comment on here that said you either need to rev it to 4k in first and then it changes smoothly (it does) or be very gentle with the shift (which also works). Job done, if it is notchy now I know I'm not doing what the gearbox wants... and when it warms up it's smoother.
Exedy is heavier than pre exedy. Take helper spring out or get rjm pedal.

Did both. Rjm is way to go. I personally like the heavier feel. Makes me feel cool

You should have grown up during the muscle car years. The pedal pressure was a lot harder. Throw in a street/strip clutch set-up in. The pressure was so great in some. You had to beef up the linkage or it would break or bend it. There was no hydraulics's as now. With a heavy street/strip clutch. When you came to a red light. You had to throw the tranny into neutral, and take your foot off of the clutch pedal. Otherwise your leg would get tired of holding the pedal down. Side steppin' the clutch pedal took on a new meaning. Because when you did it. The whole dash would jump up in the air.

LOL, you guys don't know what a funky feeling clutch is like. If you ever get a chance to drive a real 300zxtt the clutch is vacuum assisted just like the brake pedal. It was different feeling. Mash the clutch a couple of times to deplete the vacuum and that clutch was like a muscle car clutch that Rusty speaks of.

Never driven a vac assist clutch. Be like the old vacuum wipers. Slow as helll going up hill. Fast as lightening going down hill. How many people know about them?

Noop, just like vacuum assisted brakes (Brake Booster). No different. I like it. The clutch was not heavy at all. No vacuum it was a freaking monster. Not sure how many people know, never thought of it. That is the easiest way to tell if someone did a TT swap. No vaccum line coming off the brake booster going into the firewall. The Clutch booster was actually mounted inside the car. How do I know. Because I worked on a TT swap for a customer with a NA car. I was handed the job after the mechanic walked off the job. Motor on the stand and a box of parts. One heck of a jigsaw puzzle. Get with me next Zdayz. I will walk and show you the difference during the car show. I owned a real 1990 300zxtt. Everyone talks about their dream car. That was mine.

Push the clutch in, and your leg would start to shake.

First turn I took a little fast today and the car started shaking. WTF, look down and traction control is flashing... WTF??? Must of bumped the yaw sensor power switch last night. Flipped it on again and all was well for the next turn.
