Video will be difficult as car is in garage up on the quickjack for some work.. but I'd be happy to walk you though some things. Two additional items you should buy if you intend to hardwire the device is a a fuse tap, and this: (couldn't figure out the link, paste name into amazon) Pruveeo Hard Wire Kit for Dash Cam, Mini USB Port, 12V to 5V, DC 12V - 30V Car Charger Cable Kit, or something similar to it. If you don't step down the voltage from the fusebox to the HUD, it'll burn it out. I just measured out an acceptable length of wiring from the hardwire kit, snipped it, and spliced.

Let me know if you have questions.

It says for dash cam, but it's bare wire to mini USB.

Got the gps unit you recommended and installed it. Very impressed w it and will see how it works this week and report back.
