Car started, everything was good and I was happy. When we went to start the car the next day it was doing the steering lock b*llsh*t. One thing after another with this damn car. Does the car not realize I'm trying to make it badass? Anyways..... calling Nissan to see if they can just ship the part to JTran and let them do the swap via the Nissan TSB for 09-10's. Sh*t better go rite!
Tap the lock while trying to start the car, it should release and then you can yank the fuse to stop it happening again while you wait for the replacement part (covered under recall warranty)

I did that in the fall of 2011 and hadn't had any issues since, BUT I never pulled the damn fuse. The steering wheel lock actually never locked the wheel again and it's still not locked. I tried hitting the unit again but I didn't hit it while trying to start the car. I'll give it a go.

It needs to be 'energized' while tapping it for it to back out of the lock position. It should work....
