Most recent pic (4/18/2011):

Now for some pics and a little background info. I bought the car through Nissan's VPP pricing provided by Robert_Nash (thanks!). I had been looking everywhere for a PG 6MT touring/sport/nav and there was none to be found in the country at the time. I finally decided to pull the trigger on a Monterey Blue which apparently was the only 6MT touring/sport/nav model with in a few states. The trick was that it was in a dealership in Dallas and I was in Houston. The dealer offered to drive me there and for me to drive back as opposed to paying for shipping. I did just that and have been having fun with the car ever since.

Pickup day

Literally the next day after I signed the papers, got rear ended stopped at a red light... the car behind me got rear ended and hit me. I'm still not sure how the other car didn't see a line of cars stopped for the read light... I'm just glad the car he had was insured because apparently he didn't have a driver's license...

The car behind me got hit hard, then it hit me... I got the car to the local nissan bodyshop the next day. It took them over a week to fix it and their paint guy was horrible, leaving some dust particles in the clear coat.

20% tint

FI Exhaust. I was a little worried about how close the tips are to the bumper but now after 22k miles, I haven't had any problems at all (knock on wood).

Stillen G3 Intakes.

EVO-R CF B-Pillars

Backup Camera installed from the plug and play harness group by. Very simple install.

Second Skin sound deadening the doors. I did the trunk too but didn't take pics of that.

Volk GT-S, just got them put on last Friday (2/11/2011)

Z snowed in during the superbowl week storm

Hottest day last year

Curious on how the sound deadening worked out for you?

Eliminates most of the road noise now while still keeping the exhaust note. Since I changed tires to all seasons, it's been even better. I wouldn't say the car is luxury car quiet but it's a lot better. It doesn't really eliminate exhaust drone but with stock exhaust, i'm sure it'll be much quieter inside.

Would you say the drone decreased at all? Nice selection of mods, bolt ons are just a gateway drug though.

They were around 240 I believe. I even drove from Dallas to Houston that day and temps never reached 260 with me going 80-100 on the highway for 3 hours. I'm sure if I was at high RPM constantly, I would have though.

I drone did decrease slightly but not by much. The overall noise did decrease a lot so it was still worth it. I think since the drone is low frequency, it's really difficult to block it.

Yea I'm definitely hooked to these mods lol and it's a very expensive addiction. I think after I get the springs, I may just get a CF fang cover and call it a day instead of going for a lip or full kit.

The camera itself I think was like $150 plus maybe $100 for the plug and play harness. The pricing should still be on that group by thread somewhere. Also keep in mind that plug and play kit was only for the 2010 stock navi.

Car looks really good... love the blue. The front wheels need more negative offset though!

Added shock and tilt sensors to the factory alarm last week. I wired it all near the BCM in the passenger side footwell. Those BCM wires were a pain to splice into. I took some pics which I'll post later when I get a chance.

The only thing I would have done different is probably use shorter wires for everything. I originally planned to put the sensors in the center console but found I could easily fit them near the BCM. I was too lazy to redo the wires so I just taped and secured the long wires.

Thanks to this thread for making the wiring easy:

Haha I know I use your car as inspiration on how the EVO-R stuff looks on blue.

Oh I ordered all the sensors from Amazon, since it seemed to be cheapest there. I basically just used the 528T timer relay, 504D shock sensor and 507M tilt sensor. Oh and instead of using the normal wiretaps, I used those posi-lock taps and connectors. They seemed to work better.

Some shots I took last week after cleaning. I'm still waiting on swift springs I ordered from Kamispeed. If it turns out the drop isn't enough for me, I'll probably end up getting coilovers.

Here are some pics during the shock/tilt sensor install... not really any good shots as I just wanted to get it done lol

First took apart the center console to see if I could place the shock/tilt sensor in there. I ended up not doing that and placing it near the BCM itself. However, I did tie up some annoying wires that were rattling in there from my backup camera install.

Here's the shock sensor, tilt sensor and relay timer getting ready to wire it up.

Shot of the BCM before I started cutting into it. Needless to say as I was cutting, thoughts of "what the hell am I doing" ran through my head lol
