First step, Don't buy craftsman tools, Buy good tools like Mac, Snap-on, Matco ect. Craftsman are Chinese crap about the same quality as harbor freight tools anymore. We find it easier to attack these from the top, after removing the intake boxes, with a long 1/2" drive extension, 1/2" breaker bar or if you have available a hefty 3/4" impact gun.

I guess I got lucky. When I installed my HFCs several years back the 'DEMON' bolts broken clean off. Really didn't give me much trouble at all. Hopefully I won't experience any issues getting the cats off.

Also I think im gonna do this as well, not like those damn slats are doing much, my fangs are in dire need or repainting so a little work with the dremel and multi-tool are in order! The car is no doubt a sleeper with the BP kit but not many people will understand its an intercooler anyway.
Removing the inner grill slates

I have been so adjusted to mine I did not realized how stiff it was but I drove another Z the other day and found out its a good bit stiffer, also have the weaker helper spring in as well.

![]() I did that at first but it felt weird, the weaker spring smoothed it out, I like it better with the weak spring.

its just inevitable, plus it is easier to do before the install.

This is what I have, Joe said its rated at 550 wtq aiming for the 450 range so I hope it last awhile! Holding the base map hp/tq with 0 issues.
South Bend Clutch SS Street Kit with Aluminum Flywheel Pre-Order upgraded csc is a MUST.
