Does Z1 video all of their work and dyno runs? It seems odd to me they videoed this car if they didn't know or intend for it to break any records. I mentioned to them that I thought once that batch of goodies was installed, it would probably be scary close if it didn't beat it, so I'm guessing they agreed and went ahead just in case. I think a big part of it was the cam install because to the best of my knowledge, they've only done those on my car and 1 other, a G37 I believe.

I'm to the point where the majority of the HP gaining mods I want to do are beyond my capability. Cams are one of those mods, but finding a shop in my area that I trust to do that kind of work has been hard. I've been down to their area for the 2017 Z Nationals, but never to their shop. I may consider going down a week or so before the Z Nationals this year so they can work on my Z, but that will require a lot of planning. How long did it take them, and if you don't mind me asking, what did they charge you?

You are in Maryland. MA-motorsports can take care of you. They did all the testing for JWT on these cams. See other thread. You will need headers also.
Test pipes won't cut it.

Thanks for the reference. They are about 90 minutes from me. I'll have to check them out. I also want a lot of transmission work done, so maybe they can help me out with that as well.

Headers are also on the build list.

They had the car for right at 3 weeks. That shop is very nice and they were good with communicating and keeping me updated over that time period.

Three weeks! Yikes! Yeah, so unless they let me sleep on their waiting room couch for 3 weeks, I won't be doing it there.

You won't be breaking any records on MA's dyno. It is stingy as hell. So you will want a before and after dyno. They tune with Ecuteck also.

It's not a quick process. MA is a good option too, though. As previously mentioned, they did the first couple installs of these, so it's nothing new to them. It only takes time and money.

The car made 334/277 back in February. With the cams, different intake, and a few other things, I just really thought we had to be getting close. I talked to Jon and Russ until they probably got tired of me, but it slowly began to seem more and more doable. Finally, I think it was 12/20, it hit the dyno, got the tune sorted out, and laid it down.
