As much as it hurts to know it but its ford raceing syncros lololol. I really dont give two ***** since this tranny shifts like a mofo now. As for the parts to rebuild it is regular oem parts which is definitly strong enought for our cars. The weak point is the premature wearing of the syncros. I will be working a price out for doing this build for all of you with the same problem. All youd have to do is send it too us then well send it back.

Are there any options on new ratios? I'd like a really long 6th gear to go with my 4.11:1 rearend.

yep there are aftermarket gearsets but there realllyyyy expensive. I can do some research for ya. That would be a really good idea for the guys with the rear end gears like you. you could get your hwy mpg back.

Hmm, sounds like it could be a winter upgrade for me The syncro's are the worst part about this transmission, thanks for doing this!

FYI a new transmission from Nissan is around $3000. A rebuild with better parts sounds like a much better option.

It's a tad over $1600, but I imagine labor is around $700.

It really depends exactly whats going on with the trans. Like mine had some pretty serious issues for instance. My shift forks were bent and the gears were grinding on each other and I had an over heating problem so it was pretty messed up so all those extra parts cost extra money but if your car has a grind but shifts fine in all the other gears all youll probably need is the bad *** syncros I have and possibly that one gear that was grinding and of course well put a few tricks into the shift positioning so it shifts much better. So your probably looking at around 1500 to 2000 range. My mechanic builds track zs so hes always got something up his sleeve that he learned from building these trannys. I was laughing because he calleb me up and said he hates me because hes going build a spec 370z because he had a blast driving my 370 lolololol

Yes there are taller ratios but just to do the gear it wouldnt be worth tearing the tranny down but if we were to tear it down perhaps to do the synchros or a rebuild then it may be worth it since its apart already. What is your main reason for wanting the taller ratio? Im sure probably for gas mileage right?

1st to 2nd sucks when I'm in it hard so any improvements there would be awesome. A taller 6th would be nice to get highway MPG back.
