Thanks! Really appreciate the positive comments when everybody doubted me in the beggining!

Although, I wouldn't say it's easy that's for sure. I spend many hours trying to figure out the adapters and their angle and whether it would still clear everything etc. I'm hoping to finish asap as I really hate driving beaters

Still thinking of changing the angle. Currently both compressor inlets fit from the GTR but just barely on the driver side.

Default GT-R turbos on the VQ37

Small update. Finally figured out how to cut the oil lines and finished installing them. Water lines next as I just got the turbo AN fittings.

Also, the clutch/flywheel/CSC is done so I don't have to worry about that for a while hopefully! Stage 3 Zspeed package.

Default GT-R turbos on the VQ37

Passenger side almost done. Just waiting for the water line fittings so I can install them before I put the engine back. Driver side is almost done, just doing a small modification so I can use the OEM inlets on both sides.

Here's an idea of how the adapters look like!

I might have missed this, but just to clarify, you are using the STOCK header to the GTR turbo, and not using the entire turbo/manifold setup?

Keep up the work!

He's adapting the GTR manifold and turbo to the VHR.

Correct. Both the manifold and the turbo fit using my adapters. Even the GTR inlets do fit but the driver side requires some grinding to the motor mount bolt.

Clearance is tight though. I'm running the urethane motor mounts just so i don't have anything contacting when accelerating.

I was wondering if anybody knows this.. should I use a crankcase breather filter or route them to the OEM GTR inlet pcv pipe?

I've got mine routed to my turbo inlet pipes... Looks like it would be convenient for you as well!

You could do ether. Breather would be easiest. Or you could could run a catch can between to keep oil out of the turbo and have vacuum in the crank case
2011 Nismo#91 and scope22 like this.
