An unrelated comment, the genre of music you listen to has no bearing on your choice of equipment. SQ or SPL, on the other hand, would certainly affect my decisions.

+1 on not running rear speakers. True, SQ or SPL should have been more of a direct question. Nice head unit combo. I just lost use of my Alpine 7909 a few months ago. OP if your happy with crunch, that's perfect. I'm a big fan of soft dome tweeters.
