if nothing changed only the Pro Tuner could see & adjust the knock table
so I would understand if the feature to look at the knock strength is only for the Pro Tuner as well.

Btw, guessing isn't helping anyone or be precise !
It would be nice if my ROM even had a high knock table. I am running blind seeing as they have not added support for it for my particular rom, which is a accident waiting to happen since I'm boosted. If the car knocks its going to revert to its high knock table and that is actually going to further advance my timing since those knock tables were designed for NA applications.

Megan, do you have any insight on this?

there as been a ton of 370z that was boosted before Uprev cracked the knock table to be tuneable. So I doubt it will really matter for your case.
Since the knock sensor are very sensible and the ECU is responding as soon as there is to much noise.

I have no idea if your tune yourself or an actual tuner who did your tune but there wasn't any problem as far as I know before that option was available.

before you said you don't have the knock table ... can you tell me which rom you have ? I will take a look since im presume you only have the Tuner cable and only mostly a Shop with be granted the Pro version since its their job to tune. they aren't willing to offer too much feature to the end user in the risk of blowing their engine.

I played with it a little bit and damn the sensor are sensitive meaning they are doing a great job as it is .

PM me if you want me to reduce your high knock table slightly below of your main map. but this would require your ROM file to be sent my way.

I have a fair bit of background tuning, not these engines mostly GM based. I actually own my own Custom tuning shop here in Edmonton (specializing in Diesels currently but looking to expand). I have been in the tuning world here now for 5+ years and am actually looking at getting pretty deep into many other platforms in short time here.

I should have started with that I guess.

Anyways. The low octane table (knock table) will matter when you start really playing with the timing and trying to get all you can out of the car. Anyone who says that doing it that way is plenty safe, in my opinion, is flirting with disaster. Its always good to have a backup, and I would love to have a very very conservative backup so I can immediately determine that the car has retarded itself and plug into my tune to figure out where/why that occurred.

The car was initially tuned by Greg and Seb but to 100% their credit that car could not make the fuel they were requesting and we ran out of time on the dyno. So the tune in my opinion (as I am sure they will agree) is unfinished as it sits. It runs very well as it and great under WOT but there is gains to be had in tweaking the constant state operation of the engine. Seb told me right while it was on they dyno that he would have loved to have access to the Low octane map, so I would assume if they couldn't get into it it wasn't available as of early last year. Hopefully things have changed since then.

My rom is 1EJ2A.

Id invite you to check out this thread if you have time. Not a big deal if you are to busy. Just curious if you ran into this yourself during tuning.

AFR difference between the banks

Thanks for your time.

I just took some time looking at your rom and the updated one is now 1EW8A. That ECU received 3 new update since it got out from the factory according to the Uprev Rom list.

but yeah still no sign of the knock control on this one.
which does suck for your situation since you would like to have a better optimized setup being boosted.

I remember a while ago in one of the Pro Tuner mass-email from Uprev, they were saying they could add a feature that isn't yet on a ROM but this would cost money. I cant remember the number but it was over 100$+.

Since you are running your own shop, you could send an email to Jared which is he man to ask that kind of stuff
