sometimes there's a few that work out the gate......but that's like finding a unicorn lol

all vehicles have unseen issues that creep up as they get into the wild and miles are logged.

i'd wait to see how it preforms, how it looks uncovered, and how many issues they have in the first year.

also, i'm curious to see they other models once they are released.

Z51 is lowest i'd buy, Z06 is probably gonna be a monster, ZR1 iwill be TT with a flat plane crank V8, then the Zora will have the ZR1 engine plus electric motors for bonus power.

The more detailed the pics get. The more insane the corvette looks. I know this is gonna be the most unenthusiast thing I ever said. But I wonder if this car will find a way to keep the same amount of cargo space as a C7. The c7 fits so much in the hatch. It's amazing.

The 458/488 is the bench mark. So yea it's going to look something like those. Honda did the something with the new NSX.

All depends on what Ferrari - some clutches are engine out of chassis. For those, be prepared to bend over and let a dealership have his way with you. Others are easier.

There is no question that operating costs of a Corvette will not approach those of a true exotic. And if you don't take your temperamental Italian mistress to a dealership or factory certified mechanic for service, you risk de-valuing your car. Plus, given the depreciation that comes with putting miles on a true exotic, many owners don't want to ever get the car to the point of needing a major service. Sad fact.

The Vette is a Chevy, OTOH, and will share many parts and service techniques/mechanics with other GM product. Which is fantastic since that makes it attainable for most of us who will only ever afford to look at a picture of a Lamborghini, Bugatti, or Ferrari anyway. Those cars are meant for people who don't really ever ask the cost of something. Still, it's nice that there are auto aficionados out there like that. The world would be a poorer place for not seeing the occasional prancing horse or charging bull speed past.

Love the comments. The one guy posted this.

1,200 HP? Given the typical age of a Corvette buyer, those HP will really come in handy when the driver takes his car
to the drug store for Geritol
to the Social Security office to pick up his monthly check
to the bank to deposit his Social Security Check
to the doctor to get hearing aids fitted

Yes, these HP will really come in handy

More younger folks have bought the C7 corvette than any other model. Go figure. I hear ya on those comments. That was a good laugh. Most don't even drive the cars, they just sit in the garage. What a shame.

I suspect there will be a lot of them “out of control” once they first launch.
Mid-engine Corvette driver’s last words: “why would I need Traction Control? We’ll just switch this off”.

Dealers have to fork out money to sell the C8.

LOL, the C7 is a handful with it off. The corvette nannies actually work really well. They will let you have some fun and not put you in the wall. Big difference between that and our 370z. The 370z nannies suck.

Between this, the Supra and Mazda just building an all new inline 6 for sport applications promised by 2025 or sooner. The next generation of sports cars will be rather interesting.

Yup, Maser Alfieri and Alfa 8C, probably GTV as well. Shelby GT500. Tesla Roadster. Lexus RC F Track Edition. Volvo Polestar 1. Porsche Taycan (and another "new" 911 - what else?). All announced - not speculation.

Some very interesting times. Note that you can go out to 2022 or beyond, and see what most car makers are planning - but no new Z in there that I've ever come across!
