Limited here too but enjoying the last few drives this week.

Drove Belle to a shuttle stop to take the free bus to the Royals rally yesterday. OMG, it was wall to wall people...

I saw the aerial photos later. The only green was the trees, it was a sea of blue everywhere. :)

drove to work today... enjoying the dying minutes before hibernation.

scheduled for after rememberance day.

lest we forget.

It shocks me the amount of Moostangs and vettes still out on the roads here. Either people don't care or are just clueless about the dustings of snow we've been getting. They already salted once from ice.

That's strange because mine came with them.

Are you running lowering Springs or coil overs? Love the drop looks perfect.

Went for an AWESOME, spirited drive in the country. Not a single taffyapple to spoil my fun. My Z is loving the cooler weather we're having.

Mine is still in storage in case anyone wanted to know. I'll let everyone know tomorrow that it's still in storage again. Maybe next week, I'll update quick saying it's still on storage also.

Went to my first Track Day! Love autoX but this was a blast. Only 5 people came cause the rest went the day before. So no groupings and unlimited runs!

Car ran great besides the clutch losing pressure after a few laps. I now need a bigger oil cooler as well and a power steering cooler. Also need to a do a full reflush of all fluids cause I know I'll be back for sure. Want to try Roebling in Savanna next.

And just a simple lap video from the track. I of course used the clip where the track experienced corvette gave me the pass ;) :driving:

carlitos_370z 11-09-2015 05:35 AM

congrats on your first track day bro! BTW if you dont have the mod of the clutch line and new fluid maybe i think that are going to help you with the clutch pressure next time ;) is something that i hope to have for my next track day... well and a new oil cooler core... my stillen oil cooler core broke last Thursday :shakes head:

Leingod 11-09-2015 07:12 AM

Very quick update. Mines still in storage.

Nice, looks like fun!
20 years in central Florida and I have NO IDEA what track that is??

I 'll recommend Sebring , start with a group that offers ride along instructors (to keep off the tire walls)

Sadly I'm banned by my wife, blow up one turbo'd engine at 140 down the back stretch and you get the crossed arms, and then the foot tapping (and I won't even scare you with the description of the glaring)

And (to pretend) to stay on topic; I ignored the Z but did clean 2 of the yellowist headlights I've ever seen on a friends car as I took the trash out, 5 minutes each and they looked nearly new again, come on people??? WTH?? How do people drive at night with 1/2 the lights blocked??

(to be semi fair he hates this car (a 2001 camry) that he only has because his nice car got totaled in an accident he got collected up in

What did you use on the headlights? Given the time factor, I'd presume it's power based.

Ghostvette 11-09-2015 08:38 AM

Oh yeah, to stay on topic: Did a little :icon23: shaking in Belle

Florida International Rally & Motorsport Park in Starke. Real fun course. By 2016 I want to prepare my car to the fullest for the track. Friend of mine said Performance Driving Group will be doing a lot of one day events at Sebring so I will try to make most of those.

I'd love to have an instructor and go on a track. No idea how or where or when or anything about doing this in Central NY.

NASA Northeast | National Auto Sports Association North East

nasa was who I started with at Sebring, they use their higher level drivers to instruct the newer drivers ( the experienced drivers get a rate cut for doing it) and you get to learn how to drive at speed safely(ish) which saves the track and clubs from higher insurance rates (I forget the exact numbers but IIRCC they announced an insurance cost of like $3500 for the last event weekend)

(now I just drive the 370z around Sebring in Forza :-( ...)

Ah, Starke, was in the state psychiatric hospital there for a while (as a case manager, not an 'inmate' (life lesson learned; you can't argue with crazy)
I didn't know they had a road course, they're semi-famous for the dirt rally school/course; hmm 199$, nice.... How many hours does the day run?

(Bluemax headlight restorer and then Bluemax sealer spray, rubbed by hand for cleaning the headlights; I said next time he came over I'd breakout the PC r/o polisher and polish his turd of a car, the 1/2" around the headlights became shiny with just the overlap of the edge cleaning)

DatsunFTW 11-09-2015 09:59 AM

Weekend open Track day. From 8-4pm both days.

Just got home from a nice spirited run down I-40 and back home on Old Route 66 about 25 miles of boosted fun. I feel for my cold country brothars and sistars as the temps here are perfect for fun. 60* is like adding NOS to the twins!!! :p
