Very clean engine bay... :yum:

Went back out to the garage and finished up the rear view cam. Turning out to be a productive day.
Hard to get a good pic of the LCD screen.

I bought a cheap license plate light holder off ebay that came with a cheap camera, I think $20. Pulled the camera out and put in the one that came with the mirror.
Easy to mount, just pop old light housing out and snap new one in its place. feed the wire through a grommet into trunk and walla, done. (yes, those are dried water spots from the cruise after the wash, will be QD'd later :).

Went to the AAM Competition Open House in Annapolis Junction Maryland. Lots of cars, good food and free give aways. Won a t-shirt. They gave away some other cool stuff as well. Had fun. Many Z's there but the Maxima contingent was huge. Probably 50 or so Maxima's.

At our B&B in Savannah this morning.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...8d1ba30c84.jpg

Started the day by adding Kno Knoise Kollosus Edition sound deadening to the rear hatch area, then washed it. The sound deadening seems to have helped quite a bit- I no hear more wind noise that road noise at 70+

Currently, my headlights look like your "before" pics. What product did you use? Very good results.

600 grit sandpaper, some elbow grease, and a kit I picked up from an auto parts store with all components needed and UV clear coat to protect the lights.

Went to Formula Drift Long Beach today! Had a rad time. Saw some drifting and got some sick shots! Some you may recognize ;) Feel free to see the whole album on my photobucket!

First time using PlastiDip, I painted my door handles and I'm actually very pleased with how they turned out. I used 4 coats and we'll see how long it lasts.

Dom's car is so nice even though I'm not a huge fan of stance.

I would have put at least 6. After a while of opening the door, it's going to start to peel slowly.

Unless you got it really good on the inner part of the actual handle

JC-Nismo 04-12-2015 11:03 AM

We'll see how it holds up and the next time i'll do more coats if the 4 i did deems insufficient.

kenchan 04-12-2015 11:25 AM

id redo that with enamel or lacquer but thats just me.. i like the color though. :D

motored my z this am, got some fresh fuel, and qd'ed afterwards. was a good drive. cleaned her up real nice. :D

Nothing like pissing off a Challenger because you can get through traffic quicker.

Spooler 04-12-2015 06:16 PM

Been watching it rain, AGAIN!!!! Poor car is a mess. Weather for today looked clear and I had great plans of cleaning. Needless to say it appears the weather folks get paid again for getting it wrong. Been needing a wash job for over a month. It won't stop raining long enough to get it done. Next weekend, I will wash it in the rain. I have had enough.

yah, just rinse the grit off in the rain with a hose and do the rest inside your garage using waterless wash.

if that's a weekend car, make sure to blow a fan at the car for several hours... run a dehumidifier if you have one too. :D

Exactly.

He was a crappy driver, riding the as$ of the car in front of him and hitting his brakes every few seconds. :shakes head: As soon as I could, I gunned it around him and through a few other cars. I guess he took it as a challenge and tried to catch up. He ended up getting stuck in the exit lane.

Put a little projector LED behind the door panel facing the empty red reflector and 2 tiny little LEDs under the door and wired it to the door sill lights and grounded at the door pin (so it goes on and off when the door is open and closed [did both doors])

installed RJM clutch pedal today. Man what a pain in the but working under the dash, i'm going to be sore tomorrow.

The change in the feel of the clutch is truly remarkable. So much easier to be smooth. Now it just feels "right".

mishuko 04-13-2015 07:41 AM

yesterday did the first wash, clay, wax of the year.

found a few deep scratches that won't buff out... oh well... it happens.

decided to try the meguiar's ultimate wax paste, was using the gold before. we'll see how it holds up and i'll decide between the two.

Got my F.I. exhaust installed and my Sport Rays back on. Proceeded to do a nice little wash Saturday morning and went for a cruise. It's like a whole new car with the exhaust on. I cannot stop rolling into the throttle at 3.5k and listening to the symphony the car makes.

yah the car is definitely too quiet in stock form. :D

DatsunFTW 04-13-2015 06:44 PM

Installed my Z1 25 row oil cooler in prep for Zdayz! :icon17:
Also did some simple clean up like my filters and etc. and the Z sounds nice and pure.
Now I just need to lift the car back up one of these days and tighten up the heat shield. It is buzzing and quite frustrating when downshifting...

Daily driver, I will wash it and dry it off under the carport.

By the way, nice work. :tiphat:
