Using the Z as a chauffeur for my mom.

Quote from her "I like how you don't make the car go *juggajuggajuga* anymore"

Lol thanks mom.... would hope I could drive more smoothly after a year hahaha

Just received my EBC slotted rotors and red stuff pads. Hopefully installing soon!

D.Stillwell 11-12-2015 12:29 PM

UpRev tuned. Made 304whp with just Stillen intake and exhaust.

Baseline was 289whp with just the mods, before the tune. So I figure the mods gained ~9whp with no tune since most stock Z's dyno ~280whp.

My dad got a ride in the Z, during which point he told me that my grandpa's 1970 Fiat with 4speed and 90hp was smoother shifting.

Some people, you give em ride in sports car and they crap on it. Haha

Changed the oil today. Will keep her out through the weekend and hopefully weather permits a detail before I put her in storage. If not, then she'll go to sleep dirty :p

The hell is wrong with the forum today?

Davey 11-13-2015 05:38 PM

Pages only load halfway most of the time, if they even load... Every other site works fine.

pokeyl 11-13-2015 07:07 PM

XP-10/Front XP-8/Rear Brake Pads, Stillen Sway Bars, pulled the crap BC-ER leaking coilovers, put the HKS Hypermax III back on. Results were outstanding. This happened over the last few days as my car is a DD.

I am having the same problem too. I usually notice it in the evening. I am glad it's not just me. I posted the same question in the "feedback and questions" section.

Davey 11-14-2015 09:46 AM

It seems to be better today... I wonder if the server is just overloaded.

Finally got around to replacing the CSC. My cousin (mechanic) actually did the work..I supervised. :shakes head: Replaced every thing from the Master Cylinder to the flywheel and MAN, what a difference! Goodbye soggy pedal feel! The JWT flywheel is really chatty but doesn't bother me too much. Only bad thing was the damn shift knob was insanely hard to get off. Ended up pulling the leather cover off. :wtf: Oh well, inspiration to get a new knob now. Here's the culprit!!

Cleaned out my insanely full garage, swept like mad, drove to DairyQueen got food, then was finally able to park her inside the garage :D

b15 11-15-2015 07:00 PM

Was 60* and sunny today so took the Z out driving one last time with the wife. Washed her and backed her into the garage, marking the end of my Z season for 2015. Ran out of time so next weekend I'll hook up the trickle charger and throw the cover on

Z_ealot 11-16-2015 10:52 PM

Picked myself up a brand new porter cable 7424xp to try out on the Z this weekend :)

Today I got up and got her registered and plates finally since my temp tittle came in the mail yesterday. Then I took it to the Nissan center and they aired up my my one tire that was a few Psi low and checked her out for me for free, tho I sadly found out my warranty expired a few months ago. Bummer.

In your case they should just give it to you :)
Should be included with the tt kit

Hotrodz 11-18-2015 05:53 PM

Well... it was a 'why the hell not' purchase... the upside is that I now have a GTR start button available for anyone who would like to buy it. :icon17:

http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...pscrke0tmf.jpg

I wired up my DRLs without starting a fire.
(and saw the lack of steering lock fuse)
Not a convenient fuse box if on side of road (& in the rain with my luck)

http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...pssdlihz3z.jpg

And since it wasn't dirty enough to wash I did the inside and took apart my seat and stuffed a small lumbar memory foam pillow in it so I don't have to play with it every time I get in the car, an air bladder adjustable one would fit in there nicely.
http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...psiirauvfm.jpg

And my unrelated sailboat building pic, I melted 20#s of lead to hold my rudder down.

TexasChuck 11-19-2015 05:59 PM

DRL Question

I really like the idea of having the drl's on with the headlights. DO the DRLs stay on (after this mod) when the headlights or turned off?

Oh, and I've done the melting lead for the rudder , for a dinghy I built. Stinks, toxic? But we do it.
Cheers

Nixin 11-19-2015 06:49 PM

hey burntz, please post a DIY step by step page for the DRL mod.
Thanks.
