I notice the revs fall faster without SRM as well. Makes sense since the ECU is no longer trying to hold it while you're on the clutch.

Leingod 10-28-2015 03:38 PM

My Z is in storage already. What revs?

R35 GT-R Part 25151-JF00A

I installed the GT-R engine start/stop button. I personally like the candy apple red finish as opposed to the stock button. It actually blends in better with the interior and is more appealing. I'm surprised the 370Zs did not come with this to start with.

just wondering... i found that as i started driving it was a lot easier to downshifting to 2nd without being locked out compared to when the SRM was on and cold tranny. I've also tried the double-clutching with SRM on/off and it's the same.

also found that the revs dropped more quickly... (possibly because of the slight blip it does when you're shifting? maybe?)

anyone have any insight?

Yeap, Get a lightened flywheel. It get's even better.

I installed the NISSAN OEM Front Door-Striker Cover 80572-AA300. It's a nice touch to cover the unsightly door striker and to protect from corrosion. I'm surprised as to why the 370Zs didn't come with these from the factory.http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/...psoowku4p1.jpg

Ran some errands for our business then decided I just wanted to drive. So I did. Made some stops. Nothing special in the way of photography, just from the phone.

I just finished changing the oil, trans, diff, clutch, and power steering fluids on Ms. Pint's 350Z. I really need to do trans, diff, and power steering fluids on my own Z :icon17: :ugh:

How bad was it all? :ugh:

JARblue 10-31-2015 06:02 PM

PS and trans fluid weren't too bad. Oil was pretty dirty. Clutch reservoir was nearly empty with a nice coating of nastiness which I cleaned out. Diff looked like it had never been done - should have taken a photo of the magnetic drain plug :ugh:

Yeah, sounds about right for his maintenance schedule. :shakes head:

Z_ealot 10-31-2015 10:08 PM

re torqued the front strut bar and drained and refilled the power steering fluid reservoir, gave her a quick wash afterwards and took a short drive to dry her off. Definitely felt an improvement in handling after tightening everything up :)

Pintsize725 10-31-2015 10:12 PM

Annnnd the 350 is throwing a P0455 code. Sigh.

Actually, you can do it a lot faster than 30 min. Disconnect the battery and step on the brake pedal for ~5 min :twocents:
