Last pics while it's still mag black, at least til spring when I peel it off. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...779421cac0.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...54456812ee.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...80f9156f07.jpg

I finally got around to trying out the Griot's Garage Waterless wash I picked up over the weekend last night. Of course I woke up to pouring rain so all of that was for nothing but I went to bed feeling good about myself. :icon14:

I think I'll give it another go tonight as the forecast calls for nice weather over the next week.

Diff. bushings?

axmea? 09-16-2014 05:44 PM

That's the hard part. Labor don't come cheap and described to be a real pain to remove. Hard to describe but I noticed a nice difference with the Whitelines.

blackcherry20 09-16-2014 06:09 PM

I did nothing with Harry today but chat with him. Every time I passed him in the garage. Tomorrow though: big difference. Sunny and 70. Every. Freaking. Day. Forthenextfourdays!!
:woot:
Me 'n Harry gunna have some fun :driving:

mishuko 09-16-2014 08:12 PM

Went to the store to pick up some choks when I bumped into an historic car show. I don't know what's historic about a srt10 but you know... beast!

Vanquish, beatles, prowlers, f100 and more cars that were beyond my time.

Saw a guy with a Nissan engine in his vanquish + another with a 240zx... :bowrofl:

After seeing so many nice cars I got a bit spirited in my drive home and took a few detours and kinda accidentally intentionally rev'd all the way up till it limiter kicked me... Mileage? :gtfo2:

MadMan 09-17-2014 07:40 AM

What did you do with your SENTRA today

Driving in to work today, the suspension is so soft, it's a wonder I'm not sea sick.
Hopefully have the Z back on Fri.
Wonder if I can hit the Insurance up for Dramamine?

Ya might want to check the packaging, I just replaced mine (yes, a total PITA), but the larger bushings were all messed up. The thick ones, the one the hole diameter was too big for the sleeve and both of them the rubber was split where it stepped down. Joe at ZSpeed looked through his stock and found a couple sets similar, fixed me up though... Great customer service!!!!

I rescued my daughter and friends from a spin out and tire wheel separation.

Now she knows not to gun it coming out of a turnaround on wet roads.
Luckily that was the only damage.

She did a 180 and was facing traffic coming out of the turn around. Her rear right tire hit the curb as she spun and the tire separated from wheel.

Just as I was trying to figure out how to jack up her jeep a wrecker comes by and lifts it for me. I was like uh whats up. He said your jeep now change the tire. I was like whoa what do I owe you. He said your call. Go figure spare was flat. ugggh My ex stopped by and took the tire while he and I waited. I was like I got 40 for your time. He got a call as the jeep was up in the air. He was there like 30 minutes or so really nice guy.

So that is what I did with my Z today

all better. had the bushing installed today at the cost of 4 labor hours. also had the gt-spec lower control brace installed and a subsequent alignment. :happydance:
now to clean off the gunk left behind. oh and did i mention the bushing is AMAZING? my shifts are buttery smooth again. and i noticed there is a slight hum when decelerating now, but hardly noticeable

honestly, even if you shift hard sometimes, its only a matter of time before it goes. when it goes you have a dirty mess and a really bad shifts (unless you slip the clutch alot). i bought 3 quarts of redline mt-85 to change the trans oil this week before i noticed the diff bushing gone. i have 40k miles on mine with ~5 track days and im guessing mine went out in the last 5k miles.

i wish i wouldve changed it sooner, before it went out as a preventative measure. would've attempted a DIY instead of pay someone 100/hr to install it (properly)

Getting closer, just wish I coukd spend a full day on it and it would be done. Differential back in and shafts bolted up. Can now start putting the rest of the suspension back on and start on the brakes.

Plastidipped. My MB is now partially CY. can't tell from the pics really but this place I went to did a real crap job. They also mudded up my passenger side Z turn signal which they said they'll replace. Although I'm pretty upset about the workmanship I have to admit in pictures it looks nice. We'll see how it holds up over the next few months.

Bananaz 09-19-2014 09:20 AM

New addition to upgrade list: Truck Air Horn

Sadly, my Z is in the garage. I'll take it out when I get home though.
