Too much rain to do something lately, i did rebed my brakes a few days ago since i had some vibration on the pedal/steering wheel. Surprising what a few 60-10mph pulls and hard braking going down a hill can do

No more vibrations :driving:

Bought a replica of a replica of the INGS+1 front lip. Made a thread with tons of photos. For $115, it'll be interesting how it installs and works. Sorta scared how flexible it is. Hope it'll conform to the car without much gap anywhere.

After living in apartments since I was 18, I finally obtained a proper stable for the Z. Moved in on Friday. Yes, I have plans for the garage. I have already bought the paint, and epoxy.

This was yesterday. I was giving my co-worker a ride to work because his car wasn't working (I fixed it after work.) I drove a little spiritedly because he asked me to and he would not laughing. He ******* loved it

Lesson learned here with epoxy floor, finding dropped bolts can be fun if you get a darker colored epoxy with lots of flakes in it. :icon14:
Nothing beats having your own place to work on cars/projects. congratulations.

Put the gray coupe back on the road yesterday and it has not stopped raining. I am so ready to take the 370 for a spin.

Fuzzzy 05-03-2017 11:11 AM

Chased the cat off the roof of mine twice already :shakes head:

I wonder if my wife would really miss that lazy sumbitch.

HulaGirl 05-03-2017 11:13 AM

Rolled over the odometer to 15,000 miles. Not too bad for a daily driver that's been on the road just over 2 years.

Stright_Drop 05-03-2017 12:22 PM

Bought a SEIBON VSll carbon fiber hood today, first carbon fiber piece for the Z so far :excited:

DeliriousClam 05-03-2017 01:31 PM

It's starting to piss me off. Right now the Z is throwing four fault codes.

P2096 : Post Catalyst fuel trim system too lean bank 1
P2098 : Post Catalyst fuel trim system too lean bank 2
P0123 : Throttle position sensor/ switch A circuit high input
P0223 : Throttle position sensor/ switch B circuit high input

The throttle position codes popped up right after cleaning the throttle bodies so I'm thinking MAYBE I didn't do the re-learn correctly.

P2096 and P2098 are really pissing me off though. I'm running cats and replaced the 02 sensors recently.

If someone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd normally do the searching myself but I'm going crazy with work and studying for an exam. Plus I have emissions testing this month so I have to fix it quick.

ElwoodBlues 05-03-2017 04:06 PM

I got tired of all the crappy cell phone holders, stick on, suction cups, air vent clips, they all stink. Living in Atlanta I rely heavily on Waze to navigate through traffic and I wanted something a little more secure for my phone. I drilled a hole in the cubby hole cover and mounted a 17mm ball directly to it.

Lol, I'll drill the hole but you're going to have to reach behind the screen to feed the screw through it :icon17:

Thanks! Gotta get together for another run this year some time.

Spooler 05-05-2017 08:14 PM

One long trip to Z1 and one OS Giken diff installed. Wet, cold, and Atlanta traffic from Hell.

Getting car ready for my show on the 13th, took it down to a friends to have the front bumper re-painted. Next week install the louvers and do a detail. Can't believe how the front bumpers on these are literally billboards just asking to get hit with stone chips...

Might consider doing a clear bra on it.

LOL, I have two front bumpers...one for go and one for show!

ChaseZ 05-06-2017 12:31 PM

Apparently the serpentine tensioner has a little stud on the back that isn't as strong as my ratchet :(

I was almost considering doing that but couldn't find a used one that didn't cost an arm and leg. Along with the protectors and other associated stuff...

What did you do with your Z today VI (ON TOPIC DISCUSSION ONLY)

Decided to upgrade parking lamps to LED white from that yucky yellow which has smeared throughout the car as you can see..
Night pics later. Wont have differences of the oem parking as it was an easy install. Small hands help. Just have to scootch the tires to one side

Also decided to change the gaskets on my exhaust as I still have OEM ones that were a bit torn up..but only managed to give the underside rear a quick shine.

Well the throttle body fault codes fixed themselves and I found the cause of the codes saying my Z was running lean and I'm ashamed of it.
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f2...syc2j4rhm.jpeg

Also decided to clean both of my MAFs and, for the **** of it, gave it a treatment of gumout multi-system tune-up

JTM88 05-07-2017 03:41 PM

Cleaned it up and took some pictures

I just want a warm weekend that doesn't involve rain. Car desperately needs a wash clay wax job.

crazy4oldcars 05-08-2017 06:36 AM

I just want a weekend without rain and honey-dues so I can do mine. It's been ages.

Seriously even next weekend looks like a bust. Sigh

Same. We are having some mass flooding now. Non stop rain the pat 6 days. Sunny today, but with a high of 45F. Currently 35 out. I can't stand CNY any longer...

Poor freaking Z has been on jack stands since last Tuesday. Figured I'd have a spare hour to put the bumper back on with the front lip without it raining.... Nope. Waste of money this year it seems to even put it back on the road.

crazy4oldcars 05-08-2017 08:10 AM

Come on, guys. It's still early in the year. It'll get better. (It's got to....)

Did you remove the undershroud to retrieve it? It's almost guaranteed to have fallen on top of it.
