Got the Z back a couple hours ago. Kevin said the slave cylinder install and bleeding went fine. He had to adjust the linkage on the slave cylinder. Essentially 2 hours of labor. I drove it home and reinstalled front bumper, fender lining, splash guard, and strut tower brace so I could drive it to work.
After it was warmed up, I noticed some slight grinding noise with the clutch pedal fully depressed. The bottom of the engagement was up an 1" or so from fully depressed, so it's not a problem to avoid fully depressing the pedal. I have to bleed the brakes anyway, so I'll probably make a small adjustment to the linkage while the car is up and see if that fixes things. |
Took the wife for a ride in my Nismo today to the Dr's office. This was her first ride in this Nismo. LOL I sure as heck enjoyed myself.

Fuckin hell ... ran over an 8"x8" chunk of concrete on the highway today :shakes head:
It dented my 2 month old ZSpeed undershroud, took a few chunks out of the subframe, cracked the LH catalytic converter, nicked up the rear W support and rear sway bar, bashed the fuel tank, and cracked my LH carbon fiber FI exhaust can  |
JAR Blue
Damn man. What a bummer.

$hit happens. We'll see what the insurance adjuster has to say. I'm going to try and get them to claim as much as possible and see if they'll write me a check. Ideally I think I would want at least the undershroud, cat, exhaust and fuel tank replaced. |

JAR HOLY **** MAN! your car... just :(
ugh. you aren't harmed though right? |
I'm fine. Car is driveable. Kevin put it up on a lift for me so we could fully inspect the damage. Nothing is compromised, so it should be fine until it gets fixed. On vacation starting Sat, so I'll have to deal with the fallout when I return next week.

Today I scraped some dried bird pooh off of my driver's side B-pillar and gave 3 different customers/friends a walk around of my car, 3 different times throughout the day. Everyone loves it!

Nice progress ct! Congrats.

Small potatoes..... very small. You want to know what suxs. On June 20th I had my neck surgery due to my accident in my 2012 Nismo on March 4th. (thread on here about it) My wife was coming back to see me in the hospital and never get's out of my home town. She is hit in the rear at a traffic signal by an impaired driver while in her 03' Maxima. Wrist hurt, neck hurt, Knee hurt, and one more totaled car. She was coming back to visit me that night and check on me. Never saw her. I did finally get the nurse to find the phone for me and I called her cell. She was at the emergency room. I couldn't make the **** up if I had to. Pictures coming shortly.

I went and saw the car 2 days after I got home. Here is one pic.
