So for a 2 to 5 shift... Clutch in Shifter to 3rd, shifter to 4th shifter to 5th clutch out That said, hopefully they can get it working like you want it to! Edit: Here's a tip, give the transmission's input shaft longer to spin down before trying to put it into the higher gear. That'll take the strain off of the synchros. |

If you look at the blade, it doesn't run the entire length of the side skirt. Depending on where you place it, the gap can be either on the front end or back end.

I've seen this only when sychros are crushed (1 car and 1 truck) or the throwout bearings was literally coming apart or an arm broke off(2 cars). I do trust your judgement, however I cannot imagine grinding from 3rd to 5th is acceptable. If I had video with sound, I'm certain you would agree it's not right.

I would do that, but the cops in VA will pull you over on the 495 hot lanes if they can't easily see your EZ Pass. So lame.
