Removed the fuse today. 5 minutes from start to finish. Couldn't be easier!

i've noticed slight delay after push-button was pressed and my car is still stock (have not pulled the fuse or cut the brown wire).

that said, this "delay" you guys are talking about might be a normal thing.

the duration of the delay was like 1 to 1.5sec. is that about consistent with those feeling the "delay"?

I had the delay happen once, but it was weeks after I did this mod. And I think it's because my door was wide open and the car was beeping away. It didn't phase me, though.

My wife's 2011 Altima did it yesterday morning moving her car quickly to get my Z out,so speed when starting may have something to do with it.

When I first did this mod, I was getting a delayed start about 1 in every 5 starts.. After about a month I'm getting delays almost every time I start it now. Its not causing a problem or anything though.

Yep, 1 to 2 seconds sounds about right.

yah, that's normal then, i think. my car doens't do that all the time (mine is still stock), but after using the acc without starting the car several cycles for some gopro mic tests i did, i noticed it took a split second pause after pushing the button before the engine started the next time. (and my battery was on battery manager the entire time so nothing to do with battery cca).

I have noticed that the lights around the push button don't come on when I am experiencing the delay. It's like it doesn't sense the key in my pocket or something... when I get in and the lights are on around the push button, it has no delay at all.
However, if I push the button even with the lights off, it will wait a second or two and then start regardless.
