Default Before I Sell, What Would You Pay??

I have a red 2015 370z Sport Tech converted to Nismo. I had the engine built and AAM Competition Twin Turbo Kit put on. It is going on the dyno next week to get you guys numbers. This is a serious question because I don't know where to start for asking price. I have spent tens of thousands to get this done right but I know that regardless I probably won't get what I paid for upgrades. What would you pay for a Z like this??

Lots more information needed for a serious buyer. Prices that I have seen have varied from low $20’s to upper $30’s.

If you still have the stock stuff, then part it out. That's the closest you'll get to getting your money back IMO. If not, hmmmmm........hope that someone loves it as much as you do.

The AAM turbo kit just dropped the price to basement levels. AAM got a bad reputation for their turbo kits.

as a general rule, non-OEM performance upgrades will generally decrease the value of a car.

You are going to loose your butt. It would be best to keep it. Sounds like the project hasn't even been finished yet.

Price is one thing...

Finding a buyer is another. Every FI’d Z that was ever posted for sale here was priced well below what it’s worth, and each took forever + eternity to get sold, if sold at all.

Now add the economic instability right now, small to medium size businesses are getting hosed, everybody is either holding onto cash, losing their *** off in the stock market, or utilizing money buying the dip, buying something like this isn’t a top priority for most.

If you can, part it out, revert to stock. Not trying to put you down, that’s just the reality. Best of luck.

restore your Z back to the OEM state if you still have the OEM parts

try to sell those aftermarket parts alone.

Only a top of the line build will get a good price and even they will loose their butt. But they will sell quickly.

Do people really try to do this? Sell their car off as something else other than what it really is? All it takes a VIN check to verify the vehicle information lol

Non-OEM performance upgrades or not, the best bet for anyone to sell their car is privately, as they will most likely get more money for it compared to selling/trading it to a dealer.

Oh yea. I have a Power Wagon. You should see how many try to pass off a regular Ram as a Power Wagon. A Power Wagon is close to a $7000 option over a regular 2500 Ram.

Dealer don't care what you have on it. You will only get book on it. nothing for the extras.

If you are not parting out the aftermarket performance parts definitely sell your Z private party to get the most for your Z. I know you spent a fortune on your AAM Competition Twin Turbo Kit don’t just give it away. Be selective where you sell your Z as you are looking for interested buyers and possibly Z enthusiasts to purchase your Z good luck. I would check out eBay Motors as I had great luck selling vehicles there in a short period of time. I’ve traded in many vehicles but out of convenience and also got tired of the buyers how were interested in the vehicles I was selling. If you decide to trade in get lots of appraisals before selling to places like a dealership select your best offer. Our Nissan 370Z’s are desired and wanted Japanese sports cars in the current vehicle market and our cars sell very well. Overall comparing to other sports cars in the current market from what I see the Nissan 370Z has excellent resale value a specially in the first 5-6 years. Best of luck with the sale.
