I'm just posting real world experience. Not on my Z but on my various dd's.

Add getting hit by shopping cart. Getting door dented by drunk.

Had my last ride till spring last night. DD is a 98 pathfinder that I fixed up and can't complain with respect to reliability and ride quality. Taking her down to Florida soon to get away from the cold. Too bad I can't stay there till spring.

That's like keeping your wife locked up at home during the summer because you are afraid someone might look at her cause she is not wearing a coat.

If you love your car, you drive it. Folks in Canada DD it. Just put good winter tires on and use it all winter long. Yes, on the few days, maybe 5 a month, it's snowing or icy. In that case taking a taxi is cheaper than using another car, pay for upkeep and maintenance of that car.

Why does every discussion with you end up involving a labored analogy involving women?

Cause, in my opinion, folks on car forums read the thread, respond with unrelated questions. My point is that a car gets old. If you purchase a car for investment purposes, I can understand keeping the mileage low, storing through entire winters. If you really bought it because you love the car, then you ought to drive it every day that you can. In most places in the USA, roads are cleared up pretty quickly and you can drive and taking a taxi on bad days is probably cheaper.

Parking lot dents and dings might happen only if you let the cold make you park 50 feet closer and next to badly parked cars.

So all of that leads to awkward analogies about women? This isn't a new thing for you. You've done it the entire time you've been here. All three Zs.

Also, I'm not sure if you know this (since you've posted before about regularly doing 100+mph on OEM summer tires in near-freezing conditions) but summer tires do not grip well in the cold, regardless of whether or not there's moisture on the road. Maybe some people don't want to switch wheels or neuter the car with all-seasons.

My DD is a 2010 1LT Camaro that I have added every suspension & performance modification available to, but keeping it naturally aspirated. It started out a DD, then I started having fun modifying & racing it & garaged it & had other DD's. Then when I got my Z the Camaro got kicked out of the garage & went back to being a DD. The Camaro is still a blast to drive & I rather missed driving it. But after getting the Z on the track bone stock, it blew the Modified V6 Camaro away!

We have a few daily drivers. Mine is my 2013 Audi TTRS, hers is her Z, but during the winter she will drive our 2017 Audi Q7. When I have to drive for work, I use a leased vehicle that we have so that I can keep the miles off our normal cars. That is a 2014 Optima. That goes back in 4 months though

my DD is now a 2015 Genesis Coupe, 8 speed Automatic, with paddles
and there is no real comparisons, two different cars..
most noticeable is the steering is a lot heavier
pickup well in AT mod, it is normal pickup
using the paddles it show some go

I have autocross it because the Z was in the shop.

It really performed better than I expected, it's fun, but it is not nearly as fun as the z
