Default Sport Vs Base Model?

Sorry if this a repeat topic, but I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

For those of you that purchased a manual sport model do you think it was worth the difference than purchasing a base model and doing the upgrades yourself? and for those that bought the base manual model do you regret not getting the sport package?

I'm on the fence right in trying to figure out which is the better model to pull the trigger on?

Any input would be helpful.

it's worth getting the sport package. bigger brakes, vicious lsd and the srm, better rims

even though i never use the srm, it's a nice option to have.

I don't think I've turned mine off since I got the car exactly 8 months ago.

Then again I haven't touched the VDC button either.

Ive got so used to SRM that it felt weird the other day i turned it off lol, but then agan my daily is also a stick without SRM so that helps...
To the OP, yes is worth it for 3k you get beefier suspension, SRM, Rays wheels, bigger brakes, grippier, bigger and wider tires, a spoiler (dont know if that applies to 15+ models and up) and a front chin spolier... did i miss something?

Especially for the manual trans with the SRM. It makes it more fun down shifting.

Doesn't it also have a sport tuned suspension (springs & shocks etc)?

I was on the fence between Base Vs. Sport for a very short time.

If you are not going to heavily mod the car and swap out the components that come with the Sport package then sport is the way to go.

When I first got it I shut off the SRM because I had been driving manuals for years. One day I decided let me give this thing a try, once I was able to disable myself from rev matching I learned to appreciate it. I haven't shut off SRM since then.

If $$ is your concern save a little more and get the sport package.

Elitist attitude - some of us don't care to learn/practice/perfect heel-toe technique and like the feature. And don't need to listen to keyboard warriors denigrate us for it.

I went non-sport since I knew I would be tearing the car apart and upgrading all the things the sport has to offer except SRM. Heel-toeing is more fun anyways IMO

I think the general consesus seems to be the Sport Package is def worth it unless you plan on replacing most of the stuff down the line. I personally love the Sport Rays and I don't plan on doing much visually, so the Sport rear/front spoilers are a pleasant add-on.

This topic has been beaten to death so I'm surpised your searching didn't turn up much.

he probably tried using the "search" on here which isn't that user friendly. if he had gone to google and did a search, i'm sure he would have found a lot of hits
