I have definitely considered this same idea for the very same reasons squeeze.^ I have yet to release anything to the community on my recent happenings but needless to say ill be looking for more power and I too find that most of my enjoyment in the car is highway pulls or straight line enjoyment toying with my brothers mkIV etc. I originally got this stage 2 kit with the intentions of autoX and track only to find out there's really not much here in Ohio for anything of the sort; watching your journal closely I think I may decide to sell mine in the near future as well and speak with Sasha about something along the lines of a big single with that HTA wheel and alpha housing much like F.I. Is offering for their kit except one big single rather. I dunno. Ill keep following your journal and see how it pans out but i too am just ready to find out what kind of straight line power this VHR can bring to the table and no one has really done anything impressive this route to speak of.

Just watch O&Gs build and see what a single can do. A single is always going to make more tq than twins. You moght give up early spool, and its just a few hundred rpms, but that's about it.

I'll have fresh numbers next week Wednesday on pump gas near 18+ psi w/ timing and vvel tuning before we go E85. Back to Mr. squeezes badass build & thread! WTQ>WHP. After all he was one of the first w/ a built motor pushing the limits!

I'm right behind ya Squeeze.
I'm all roll racing and highway runs. Just not enough traction for digs. Peak performance is much better for me as well. Can't wait to see what kinda numbers you put down. With the new revised version and built block, the bar will be raised yet again.

There is not a single 370z with that setup yet.

To sum it all up I am willing to give up some low in spool for top end power. I use the car for highway pulls and roll racing. Also daily driveability was not a problem with my old setup.
Nice! If that's the case I should sell you my supra haha jk. Good luck with your new setup! the 6766 should be just fine, if i'm not mistaken minimally 700rwhp at 18-19 psi. what size hot side?

I am going with 1.32 A/R you are correct with 700whp the goal is to make that on pump gas 93 and go up from there.

Sweet! Do you attend meets around the tri state area? Would love to pick your brain one day. Did you consider a sleeved block? Run E85 or c16 often?

Cooling a sleeved block can be a challenge on these motors...especially since they run hot already. Depending on what your going to use the car for depends on sleeving or not. E85 is a winner on these motors with FI.

I am having difficulties understanding the pros/cons of E85 and regular gasoline.

Does E85 cause less cavitation?

E85 more stable fuel and allows for more aggressive tuning. It's like magic. Plus it's way cheap compared to regular pump gas.

Cons are its not easily available as pump gas. Only certain stations carry them and it depends where you live. Need biiiiiiggeerrr injectors and bigger fuel pump. Also it eats up gas suuuper fast. But I think it's worth it. Just wish I had it more readily available.

I Agree with El and everything he said above. Another bonus and part of the magic is that it burns 200 degrees colder than 91 or "regular" pump gas.

I had to subscribe to your thread bro to keep an eye on your new build, so I too can want more power

Yes I do attend meets and wouldn't mind meeting up. When I build my motor I did not consider a sleeved block for my goals at the time. I have never ran E85 in my car and dont run C16 .I have however ran 100 octane pump gas on occasion this is local to me.
