looks like there is still plenty of room to screw that on top of the stock oil cooler! no worries from me IF it does come down to it, ill just remove it and route the coolant line straight through and bypass the stock cooler but like i said, the stock cooler is no more then 2 inches thick so it shouldnt cause a problem. Coolant lines look pushed away enough to not get in the way either. Maybe ill be the first to experiment with this kit with the stock cooler

That is as far as you would want to go. The picture is a bit deceiving, because the two plug boolts on the relocation plate are almost touching the coupler. There is not more room than that. I think I spent more time on this
(trying to find a way to route the IC pipe) than I did on the rest of the kit...lol. In the end it is an easy solution.

Ah i see what you mean now. When you pointed that out i saw it. Its near touching on the back of the the on the backside of the coupler. Guess the stock cooler has to come out for us '12+ guys.

Correct, and the two hoses will just have to be coupled with a hose barb. No big deal at all. I guess I just need to know the ID of the hose, and the proper part(s) can go out with the kit once I get to that stage.

I will also post the jig building process once the time comes...I am sure some of you will appreciate that as well.

Thanks for the support guys. I will get the word out as soon as these are ready to go. I can't wait to start making these kits, I think you guys will really like the ease of install, maintenance and the awesome performance that it will bring to an already great car.

This will quickly become the number one F.I option for the 370z owners once the reviews start coming in after the first few guys get these installed and tuned.

With the twin scroll kit I built for the 350z (identical kit to this) the gains and power under the curve are on par with twin turbo kits. I would say that the kit for the 370z will yield the same results.

The waste gates come with all the springs available from Tial. This allows you to select whatever spring you wish during the install. The waste gates are also positioned so that they are very easy to remove if a larger spring is needed/wanted. This is the great advantage of this turbo kit. Everything is easy to get at, making servicing and modifications a breeze.

I was able to switch out the waste gate springs on the donor car without even removing the waste gates from the car. Took only about 15min to do both on a lift.

Here is a spring chart with the spring color code included with every waste gate:




I am confident that the 8.7psi spring will yield 500whp + with a proper tune on a DJ dyno.

Yup, donor car.

On a side note, the car was in yesterday due to some strange wideband sensor readings. It was all over the place, and from experience there could only be one reason for that. The wideband is about 8" downstream from the turbo, and of course the down pipe is connected to the turbine via V-band. With welding and flanges you have to get the heat (amps) up to get a proper weld, with good penetration. As you do that, the flange can warp just a bit and cause a leak. Once removed, the warping was not visible to the naked eye, but id does not take much.

So I took the down pipe off (takes about one minute) and added high temp. RTV to that connection. This is common practice and you will see the RTV used a lot on exhaust systems (flanges). I let it set over night, and James came over this morning to get the car, started it up and the a/f was perfect at 14.5:1 or so at idle. No more bouncing a/f ratios, just perfect.

We went out for a drive, and things looked great. Small adjustment on UpRev and we did a couple of pulls with the 4psi springs in the wastegates. Car pulls HARD, and spools NOW, holding strong all the way to red line. It is quieter than a stock 370z with the F.I exhaust, so a perfect sleeper. I don't think a 370z driver could tell the car was ever turboed, until you step on it.

I can't wait for this car to get tuned properly. I have a feeling that this will surprise a few people once the numbers are out.
