I know you are doing what you want for your own sake (who doesn't) but sharing what you have shared so far, even though none of it is really proprietary, it is very valuable and will save anyone who cares to pay attention heart ache and money (youtube personalities aside). I for one am glad you've had the financial and quite frankly, more importantly, the mental fortitude to stick with this platform. As they say, Pimping Pioneering ain't easy

I was selling a bunch of NA parts when I boosted my Z and making late runs to Fedex to ship them off. My wife now says i sell culito "***" at night to pay for car parts. It's now an ongoing joke for her everytime i do something car related. LOVE IT!

Haha, I've experienced turbo cars, and it's not necessarily the turbo, but more how it's implemented and tuned with the chassis. I'll enjoy a car that perfectly balanced over anything that's just fast in a straight line, but everyone is different right? That and the fact of everyone i know with a boosted Z is always working on their car instead of driving it... ![]() |

Those are forumla cars, not street cars. Anyone with some sense would want their street car to be reasonably controllable. And Niki would be the first to let you know your car was sh-ite if the balance was off. Part of the driver skill is communicating to the engineers on how to improve the car. That's what I did with mine with my tuner. It's a part of the process of being a complete driver, not just being a hot-lapper. |

My dream car growing up was always a Dodge Viper because of how raw people made it out to drive. Not much fun in a car that is all balanced because it doesn’t require much driver input. That well balanced car can be driven well by any ole shmuck at a track without much skill. Slapping down an sub 10 second pass on asphalt is feeling I cannot explain. In my personal, physical experience, boosted vehicles are superbly more enjoyable. The thrill of trying to hook and book a boosted car, is greater than the thrill of driving any NA Z imo. There is a reason we have multiple types of tracks though, to each their own.

The deal isn't necessarily about driving a balanced car but more about the modern technology that limits the driver engagement, input and being connected to the car. Every person that wants to drive the car at its limit wants the best drivable car which also includes the drivers ability to handle that car at the limit. Most race cars handle like crap on the street because you can't get them fast enough for the suspension to work correctly and then the car will still be a handful because your driving to either the cars limit or your limit.
The bottom line is the Z is a drivers car. The nannies on it are for Sunday cruisers not for those that want more. The nannies limit the cars capabilities and will try and kill you if driven hard. Most all professionals and competent non proffesionals prefer a car with all the nannies turned off. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
