Yes, just the fronts. I just put new steels on them not long ago. Carbotech XP8 pads will go with them also. They are newish also. Put them on the same time as the new steels.

I have to keep the rears for when I run my Weld wheels I think. Will know more when I test fit them.

AP Racing brakes are on. I drove the car tonight. They are excellent. I have the Competition 9660 calipers front kit and the rear kit.

can they anodize them in red.

Noop, they come in anodized gray. If you try to powder coat them, the calipers have clean out plugs in them that will come out due to the heat in the process of powder coating them.

I guess you have never had no brakes at 120mph. I have. I don't care what color the calipers are. I want to have reliable brakes. I have them now. If you want Bling, then Essex Parts is probably not the best fit for you.

I'm not interested in compromises, for that money it should meet both fashion and function requirements.

EDIT: they said they wont/can't anodize them in red.
also the street kit they are coming out with will only fit under 19 inch wheels. so that's annoying.
maybe ugly grey calipers are in my future. sigh

Man, I'm looking at a 2019 ZR1 and Z06's for sale in Orlando.

2019 ZR1 with 8k miles: $198K :roflpuke2:

2019 Z06 4k miles: $80K

If it was me, I'd go z06 and spend about $30k in mods and whoop the pants off a $200,000 ZR1. But that's me.

Can’t say I blame ya. Approx 200k for a vette, any vette that’s not a classic ls7 numbers matching 10/10 car imo is nuts. (But I don’t really like them to begin with so I am a bit biased :tup:).

I have given enough for everyone to learn from. Some of my friends have said I have given too much. I will leave it at that.

Without more parts development, the z34 platform can’t go any further than where you found the limit.

Tbh, it’s not like it’s a terrible car to mod, I mean a reliable 700whp or so car that can be fun at the strip, track, and street is nothing to sneeze at.

Honestly so what if 4 digits is not possible? I don’t really see this power level as a real limitation for 99.9% of folks unless they just want bragging rights.

I'm of the midset that unless your car is a purpose built drag car, 1,000+ hp is JUST for bragging rights and WILL put you in a wall if you aren't ready for that power. You will look foolish being unable to control all that car you built and will likely be scared of it IF you are brave enough to really put your foot down.

Yup, most folks get scared at 700whp. 800whp and up gets a little crazy. I am just a little on the crazy side. It doesn't bother me at 900whp+. It's a handful and the car will show you something. Nothing like going sideways in the triple digits. It happens.

Noop, not my coup of tea. Saw one in Ocala at the 1/2 mile event. He was slow. 148mph or so.

I’m not asking about information to learn from, I’m just curious on what platform you end up with. You have stated before you owned numerous Zs throughout your life… so what is next?
