There's still a lot of room on the Stillen tensioner, that wouldn't be enough for only one size down in pulley?

With the 2.92 pulley, I ran out of adjustment before the belt was tight enough. Some modified the idler pulley mounting bracket to compensate but swapping the Idler pulley is MUCH easier. I'm still looking for the part #......

I have a spare pulley from an OEM tensioner I had to replace. It's bigger for sure but without meSuring it may be slightly too big. I've got some playing with things to do later on so will check it out at the same time.

That said, I'm more keen on changing the serpentine side pulley anyhow, provided I can find one that is the normal price. Looks to me like there is still enough room in the OEM tensioner that the belt I got from you with the extra idler should still fit just fine.

What's all this talk about various pulley upgrades? I thought you only ever replace the SC Input Pulley and the rest stay as they are...

I have replaced both the SC and jackshaft (serp side) pulleys with Vortech's "high traction" ones, added the bigger 3" SC idler pulley to be able to get the SC belt tight enough and added TBatts additional idler pulley to the serp side. This has given me a great performance increase (air to air setup) and no detectable belt slip.

little bit off-topic here but still related to these upgrades,

will be running similar to what topgunz is in regards to engine mods, what clutch is everyone using for around 500-550rwhp? I've been to a couple places here in Aus and they are telling me I need to go a button clutch anything else won't handle it which sounds a bit weird. our 370z's aren't torque monsters, any recommendations?

I use the OS Giken Grand Touring with twin plate and the soft cover and it's been great.

South bend stage 3 daily is a good all arounder. If you are tracking, dragging etc then that's different though. All depends how you use it.

I'm running a Southbend Daily Stage 3 as well. It was about 30,000km old too by the time I got the SC on there and it's still holding fine for now.

My search for the larger idler pulley to use on the SC belt when changing the SC pulley to a 9psi setup (2.95 inch) has been very frustrating. I have been using the search tools but keep coming up empty on the part number.

What I did find is the pulley needs to be 76mm in diameter and I think the width is around 32mm. This weekend I will take some measurements of mine and then get the PN from the Gates catalog. Hopefully I can see the PN and remove all doubt.........

As an FYI: the SC belt is a Gates K08022 or Magnuson M-79-08-02-020.

Vortech 2.95 SC pulley is PN 2A038-295
Idler pulley needed is (maybe) Gates 36225. I need to verify this!

For reference the pulley off the OEM serp tensioner is 71mm
However it's probably only wide enough for a 7 rib not 8. Ere is a pretty substantial flange around it which could probably be machined off, but for the cost of a pulley likely isn't worth the effort or expense.
