Tial QRJ Vacuum Line

Rooting around in the engine bay I noticed the line going to the intake manifold has a reducer inline. From my understanding Tial recommends 1/4 ID tubing to the manifold.

Default Tial QRJ Vacuum Line

Rooting around in the engine bay I noticed the line going to the intake manifold has a reducer inline. From my understanding Tial recommends 1/4 ID tubing to the manifold. It was kind of hidden under other tubes.. I don't know why they would have done it this way but thoughts about it hurting any function of the qrj?
