Another option is to use the Fast Intentions crash bar. It fits perfect right out of the box. Not cheap but VERY well made. It's FI, what more would you expect!

Is there any weight reduction with the FI crash bar over the OEM?

Well, even if you take off the OEM crash bar you still have one. An intercooler is solid as hell. It's a boxed aluminum piece with internal supports. It's just an extremely expensive crash bar that would cripple the car if it got holed.

So I am coming to this thread late, but it seems like this A2A solution fixes the problem with the Stillen SC kit being really iffy beyond 8psi? With this, the Stillen SC kit can run much higher than the kind lame 400/300 it used to do and make that power in a reliable and safe way? Are there any other supporting mods needed other than this? How much time would this add to a new Stillen SC kit install job?

Also, is there any way at all to buy parts of the kit form Stillen to save money instead of their entire kit?

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Needed, no. Desired, probably
4) I can tell you in a couple weeks as I am doing an initial install with Topgunz kit as well as some other supporting mods
5) Not that I'm aware of. Just keep your eyes open for a used kit. I picked mine up for $4k

If you are interested in this, begin by setting the time aside to read this thread in its entirety. Trust me, it's worth it.

Seb, the guy who has tuned about 20 of these kits, will know.

Is it bad to have 4.08 gears with forced induction? just curious.

I have 4.08 gears with 450WHP and good sticky tyres (now). Yes it's lively to control in 1st and 2nd gear and even 3rd sometimes, but it sure accelerates well. Also fantastic pulling out from bends with my LSD really helping. At the track, out of corners I was powering away from V8 M3 BMW's and that was when I had 380WHP and that had a lot to do with the 4.08, but LSD required.
