This process doesn't work as EcuTek overrides it now. One of my close friends that works on the car is a Master Tech with Nissan and tried it.

If you are less than 11 lbs of boost you could try the PBV from the Stillen kit, I'm running it on my car and it stays open at idle without any messing with it.

OK so we removed the spring completely from the BPV as in theory this would leave it completely open at idle...just to see if it made a difference and unfortunately my idle is still higher than normal...it's off by hair at 200-300 RPM so it appears that it may be the Throttle Chambers. Can't thunk of anything else that's gonna effect the Idle. Smoker shows no leaks and as per the code it's thrown there's three reasons this would occurr.

1) Vaccum Leak (ruled out through smoker test)

2) PCV- which no longer is an issue with this kit as it is replaced with the he breather filter that comes with Topz Kit

3) Throttle Chambers.

Just to make sure went ahead and placed the Stillen BPV on....Idle was still the same....1000 RPM or so....Did Idle Relearn via EcuTek and got "Test Failed Unable to complete." But noticed that the Idle dropped.down to 800-850....still a little high as the Nissan states Idle should be 750rpm give or take 50rpm...

Drove the car around til got temps up to opersting then did ECU reset before Idle Learning again. Got same message "Test Failed Idle Relearn Unsuccessful." RPM we back up to 1000-1100 RPM then P0507 code "Idle Air Control System RPM Higher than Expected."

This might be, and probably is, just my ignorance but the A/A kit uses a BOV near the intercooler does it not? Wouldn't it make more sense just to delete the Stillen BPV altogether? I'm probably missing something imperative to the answer here.

Is it maybe worth flashing the ECU with a back to stock tune from Seb then re-flashing with your current tune afterwards? Kind of like getting the microsoft blue screen of death. Just thinking out loud about the "test unable to complete" perhaps there is a software related reason for it. Probably not but sometimes it's worth trying one thing to rule it out.

Also if you are using Ecutek you can do the idle relearn and ecu reset in it with the push of one button, way easier than the Nissan way.

Tried that and the tests kept coming back with a fail and couldn't be completed. I'm hoping it's just the BPV...I will try the Stillen one and see...if so then may need to cut the spring on the turbosmart one.

It's in the ECM tool. After you detect the vehicle it's one of the options near the bottom.

Is that something you need a remote tunning cable for? I don't have one...

Yes, you have to have a cable to do anything in Ecutek.

Bummer. I was hoping there would be a sequence of steering wheel buttons I could use like switching maps.... I have been looking into a remote tunning cable though.

Seb showed me and said you should reset the the ECU after every flash before you do a log, he said it cleans up the logs.

You can do the resets without a cable but it's a pain in the butt.

Good to know! I wonder if Ecutek has all the tricks documented somewhere accessible.
