They are replacing the pump for free and I wont get it until Friday. My dyno was scheduled for 2 in the afternoon so Im hoping it will be back together by then. It is always something.

If i were you I would take this as a sign to drop the Walbro 450 in there.

Are you going to be Dyno delayed yet again?!

milkcow500 06-16-2016 01:45 PM

I'm ready for the dyno! Seb looked over my last logs and they look good. We are making adjustments to the transmission right now because it was shifting a bit hard.

Pauly Z 06-16-2016 04:10 PM

Seb said he is happy with how my car looks too. Scheduling a dyno session myself. Want to see what she's got.

Makes 3 of us that will be getting on the dyno. Hoping I can make tomorrow. Both of you guys are on 91 or 93 right?

Pauly Z 06-16-2016 04:57 PM

Yeah I'm on 93

I'm scheduled to be on the dyno on the 25th.

StillenZ84 06-17-2016 04:40 PM

Wasn't able to dyno today. He is going to try to reschedule me for beginning of next week. Fuel pump just came in so I will be installing tonight. For everyone that has the Aeromotive Stealth 340, what is your part number? Seb brought to my attention that my pump might have failed because it was the older #11142. They came out with a newer one that is more compatible with e85 and it is #11542. Lesson learned.

TBatt 06-18-2016 04:14 PM

She's alive! Got her fired up just after noon today. Test drive was ok, no leaks!

milkcow500 06-20-2016 08:34 AM

I went to a dyno day on sunday. Looks like I may need to up the boost. I'm going to run WOT again today and see what psi I'm currently running on. My guess is I'm at 10psi or so. Here's my results from my Uprev tune to my Visconti EcuTek tune to my Seb EcuTek tune. All were run on the same dyno.

TopgunZ 06-20-2016 09:11 AM

Somethings weird here. It shows you made max HP at 6600rpms.....? You had another 900rpms to rev up still which would be like another 30whp. Its hard to tell whats going on with the limited screenshot.

milkcow500 06-20-2016 10:06 AM

Hmm that is true. I did tell the guy to run it to 7500 rpms. Is it normal for the TRQ reading to end at 5k rpms or am I reading that wrong?

TopgunZ 06-20-2016 10:09 AM

At 5K is when you made peak torque. Torque will always make max before redline but hp will always make max at redline. Which is why it looks like he only ran it to 6600 which leaves a lot of power on the table you didn't see.

milkcow500 06-20-2016 10:16 AM

On my graph, it shows my torque peaking at 260@6600 rpms though? Is this because it was only ran to 6600 rpms in full? In that case, I'm getting 50tq gain at 5k rpms.

TopgunZ 06-20-2016 10:18 AM

Are you confusing peak with where it ended? Is the torque line higher at 5K or at 6600k?

If the line terminates at 6600k then that is where he let off the gas.

milkcow500 06-20-2016 10:29 AM

Whoops sorry, I'm confusing both you and me. I'm trying to compare the numbers I got the other day to my previous dyno tune, which is the graph I posted.

Graph - old dyno tune: 260tq@5000rpms / 305tq/MAX (Graph shows it going to 340tq@6600rpms though?)

dyno day numbers - new tune: 310tq@5041rpms

TopgunZ 06-20-2016 10:55 AM

Well, you definitely made better numbers. Picking up +50wtq is a lot.

I think you need to just go find a DynoJet and make a pull to 7500 to really see where your at. Also, tell them to T in a boost reference.

milkcow500 06-20-2016 11:06 AM

I'm going to try and run it on the drag strip on wednesday and check by times first haha. Curious how much closer to the 11s I can get with this trq increase.

EVOHUNTER 06-20-2016 03:37 PM

It seems like this kit helps a lot with the TQ numbers, I gained about 55 wtq.

Sebz from speciality z is down in Canada now, im on the dyno on Thursday.

The adjustable traction control settings and launch hack are pretty amazing if I do say so myself!

Since you're an auto G, what did you have done to your transmission to strengthen it for the extra power? You have the 7 speed?

Also, I can't wait to see what you get with e85, since I'll practically be running a similar setup. The SC kit I purchased had the upgraded impeller, though.

Yes, I have the 7AT. I didn't do a full transmission upgrade like some other people have done. All I did was the Level Ten torque converter/valve body and the Fast Intentions flex plate.

I'm still waiting on EVO's results with that impeller before deciding which one to go with. Didn't have time to tweak my RR TC or find out my max boost yet, but I'll find out during this week.

Do you have stock cats on or test pipes?

milkcow500 06-21-2016 01:30 PM

Test pipes/stock headers. I know I'm losing some boost there, but my cats blew so fast I didn't want to keep replacing them.

How do you feel it is holding up? Did Seb add more pressure to the lines, as well? How much was the level ten torque converter and Fast Intentions flex plate? (You've can PM me if you don't want to post numbers on here.)

I'll be running test pipes, too. Going to sell my HTC, and don't feel like blowing my stock cats.

Another forum member that bought a kit off me here just blew his Cats up too so is replacing them when he puts the A2A on.

Seb's THE MAN!, While he was waiting for his flight he sent me a log to test the TC control I'm going to try it tonight. Is the launch hack with the TC control? He told me how to adjust it.

Hope this work well for me, I wanna try to hit the track Friday, now I have the KR thing in check and Seb's updated tune, Time to go back with the headers, Throttle HI jack and TC control :), Wanna be the first NA sedan(AWD) in the 12's!

milkcow500 06-21-2016 02:04 PM

I haven't had any transmission issues as of yet that I know of. I'm on my 3rd tuner now and I can say that Seb blows them all out of the water.

The base map that he made for me had some rough shifting, but 2 flashes into adjusting the line pressure and it's par/better than my previous EcuTek tune. You can only feel the shifts/rev matching if you are hard on the pedals. If you are light on them for daily driving, you can feel a smidgen or nothing at all.

The best thing that I noticed was this really odd delay/lag I used to have on both my previous Uprev/EcuTek dyno tunes. This would happen right before the throttle kicks in, so it was very annoying and sometimes dangerous because I would get no response for 1-2 FULL seconds. These were the conditions:

Gas -> let off gas -> Get back on gas -> DELAY -> throttle kicks in
Gas -> Brake -> Get back on gas -> DELAY -> throttle kicks in

Parts + install at Level Ten were about $1500. The billet flex plate was about $1200 for parts + install. I only did the flex plate because of all the horror stories I heard.

StillenZ84 06-21-2016 04:02 PM

Yeah Seb really does go above and beyond for his customers. Never had a tuner as good as he is. And someone who gets back to you the same day?! lol He is the man for sure. Yeah I have 5 maps set up with the RR TC on 3 of them, and the launch hack on 2. The launch hack is usually on his map #4 but I had him add it to my #2 map also. To answer your question, just because it has your RR TC on a map doesn't mean it has the launch hack also. If you are on a map with the RR TC enabled, you can literally adjust the traction with the cruise up and down and it will hijack your oil temp and show the slip amount. Higher number being more assist and lower number being less. I believe it starts in the middle at 50% until you manually adjust it. I have M/T's so this feature isn't as important to me but the launch hack helps out a ton.

Yea man I have a auto(AWD) so he told me o look at the racerom field on the map log, I can just drive with my laptop plug into the car. It's only on my map1 guessing a base test map, but if he get this and the launch hack I'm defiantly going the track Friday! I see if I can crack into the 12's :)

milkcow500 06-21-2016 07:09 PM

I'm surprised you didn't hear about it before. It was one of the reasons why I went with Seb. I know there's another G that is running 12s with FBO, but he is running on 4.08 fd.

ANMVQ 06-22-2016 06:29 AM

Ok so loaded the tune in this morning , went to map access and saw racerom RAW, the value is 0? I tried the cruise buttons up or down and the value didn't change? How to a test this? Since I don't have a Z I do not have a oil temp gauge?

Yea I know him, LOL from here , but he is a coupe and RWD , 12.7 he ran, I hoping to get close to that, I know it will be tuff as "we" have about a added 2-300lbs for the Tcase, but our launch should make up for that :driving:

milkcow500 06-22-2016 08:31 AM

I don't recall the exact name of the parameter, but it is something like "Race Rom Controller." Mine was set to 230 from stock. I can double check later today for you.

TBatt 06-22-2016 08:32 AM

I got my AFR/Boost gauge as well as my oil pressure guages installed last night. Now I can see what is going on with AFR.

I'm having a weird problem with idle and it could be the canned Stillen tune at fault.

With the A/C turned off, I get a hunting idle speed that varies about 1K rpm at times. It will run perfectly smooth and then hunt and then settle back down. The Boost gauge shows close to 30 inches of vacuum. When I turn the A/C on the rpm jumps up to just over 1K and the engine stops hunting at idle. AF ratio at warm idle is 14.4 - 14.6 which looks ok.

This may be stupid on my part but to me it looks like the tune has a problem with idle air flow. I have checked and the BOV is open and air is flowing out of it and I have performed the Idle Air Flow Calibration. That helped a lot but it didn't cure the symptoms.

The engine seems happy everywhere except idle with the A/C turned off. Weird.

Any ideas. The EcuTec tune is scheduled for Saturday, Hopefully that will settle things down.

Any of you that has done the A2A mod have any idle issues while running the canned Stillen tune?

dont worry man, this is perfectly normal. mine did the same thing.

Mine was a custom tune Water to Air too A2A idled crappy, didn't really boost. its not your install, its the tune. youll be fine

BOLIO 671 06-22-2016 08:46 AM

I can't speak from experience as I don't have a A2A kit....but I can tell u that generally the Stillen tune is Junk....it's only designed to get u to a shop/dyno so that u can properly get dialed in.... I wouldn't doubt this is ur issue. The A2A kit is running more air into the system and is also designed with the MAFS post blower.....this isnt the way the Stillen set up is and the canned tune is designed for their system not A2A.

I personally had to go thru a couple tunes before my car was driveable....1st can tune started the car but was pig rich that I couldn't drive the car in any gear past 3K rpm before AFR'S hit the 9's on regular street driving....no where near 1/2 or WOT....idle was a bit rough but in the same AFR zones as you. Even after a few maps car just didn't feel right....ended up going with Seb and EcuTek...all I can say is its been the best investment I've made. I wouldn't stress about it and would just wait til the tune/dyno....that should straighten out things

TBatt 06-22-2016 08:51 AM

Thanks guys!!! I have been trying to figure out what I did wrong.

TopgunZ 06-22-2016 10:14 AM

Yup. All in the tune. Even after i had a tune done mine hunted a bit but i knew that tuner was junk and he rushed my tune faster than ive ever seen. It was even backfiring when dropping a gear at low rpms. He was blaming it on the software (uprev).

I took my car to a different tuner who did an amazing job and my rpm hunt was gone and so was the backfiring. A good tuner is priceless.

TBatt 06-22-2016 01:11 PM

Just finished a quick drive over to see my dad at the nursing home. Steady 75 mph AFR is 14.4. I'm safe to drive to Z1 tomorrow.:driving:

Question: Do any of you know where a good tach signal is for my data logger? Is there one at the ECU?
