It was but when your wife says why don't we give Logan the Audi and you can go buy your corvette, you go buy a corvette!

bewhitey 07-01-2016 09:18 AM

I finally got the money, I am ready to do thethe air to air kit... Hit me up topgun!

bewhitey 07-01-2016 06:08 PM

Jwillis, you gonna supercharge that vette and put like ten coolers on it like your z? ( I thought I read a post of yours somewhere on all the coolers you had to do to make the car track worthy)

The guy who traded in my z bought a 2015 Z06, he was all lined up to have a shop in cali upgrade the supercharger before even driving it! He said after driving it he questioned that judgement call and cancelled the upgrade.... i guess it was fast and furious enough. He put 12k miles on the z that I now own after he had done $30k in upgrades over six years (i bought the z for 30k) .... I told him in another six years I will buy his Z06 :)

JWillis72 07-01-2016 06:28 PM

Nope, it's staying stock besides fluids and break pads. Someone is going to get a steel on my car, new built engine, supercharger, level 10 trans but I'm over missing track days because the car is in the shop.

Ok my Z is alive again. I replaced the bad fuel pump and it is running like it was before, not good with the stock Stillen tune.

I'll call Z1 next week to set up a tune appointment.

Good luck JWillis72! The vette is a nice car, I hope you have fun with it.

Well I have just got back to working on this extra pulley. Haven't had time to work on it. Life has been hectic. But here is a pic of the pulley roughly installed. Now just need to get the belt. I will be trying a few sizes. There is such a huge jump in lengths. After 107" they jump to 113". I will be picking them both up later today.

Awesome! Looks good man.

BOLIO 671 07-05-2016 07:21 AM

I know a few of the guys that were scheduled last month had some set backs.....Does anyone on the kit have a scheduled Dyno coming up soon?

TopgunZ 07-06-2016 07:36 AM

I sold a kit to a guy that is over in Japan. He just emailed me his results but they use crank hp. What number do we use here as a drivetrain loss? 17%?

JWillis72 07-06-2016 07:40 AM

I would think that's right, the stock car is 332 hp and usualy dyno 275ish whp. Thats 82.8% of the hp number.

TopgunZ 07-06-2016 07:58 AM

Well in that case he made 501whp! Glad to see someone chime in with results and breaking the 500 mark, even if it is ever so slightly.

TBatt 07-06-2016 09:14 AM

501! That's great! Do you know how much boost he was pushing?

TBatt 07-06-2016 11:11 AM

I need to get a slightly oversized idler pulley for the SC drive belt. The 2.9 pulley on the SC makes the belt adjustment run out before it is tight enough. About a 1/4 inch larger idler should do the trick. I'm planning on taking it off and checking with the local parts stores unless someone has already done this.

JWillis72 07-06-2016 11:34 AM

I think it was in the other thread but Evo gave me a part number from Napa that worked perfect. Do you have a plate with the grove for it made longer?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TBatt 07-06-2016 02:44 PM

Mine is still stock (the plate). I have the stock jackshaft pulley and a 2.9 on the SC. The belt is almost tight. I think that if I had a larger diameter idler pulley the tension would be better. I can still twist the belt to 45 degrees but it seems too easy to do.

I think I saw the NAPA pulley in a thread but I can't find it. I've been doing thread searches without any luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

StillenZ84 07-06-2016 02:55 PM

Pretty positive it was NAPA Part #36112. It is what I have on mine with the 2.95" supercharger pulley and it works good. It is the 3" I believe.

JWillis72 07-06-2016 02:57 PM

But we all have longer slots so I'm not sure if it will work.

JWillis72 07-06-2016 02:58 PM

I just looked at the first post in the other thread and we have been talking about this for over a year now.

Wow thats wild.

Elmo370z 07-06-2016 03:11 PM

There is one guy in Fl who made 700whp on a 350 before the belt broke. He is running a huge blower

jaytirbhaw 07-06-2016 03:37 PM

For you supercharged guys on ecutek, do any of you ever have the visual knock sensor ( flashing service engine soon light) go off on you when boosting in 5th then shifting to 6th ?

My buddy is tuned on ecutek ( stock stillen) and his gets the flashing in 6th randomly when he hits throttle. IMO no need to be in boost in 6th but just curious if this is a glitch in the software or accurate knock sensing

milkcow500 07-06-2016 03:44 PM

I had that issue with my previous EcuTek tune. It has to do with the noise/vibrations that the supercharger makes in the bay if I recall. I haven't had it happen yet with my tune from Seb though.

Thanks! I'll check it out tomorrow at our NAPA store. I'll take the stock one with me to compare.

TBatt 07-06-2016 04:17 PM

Just called the store and they will have one for me first thing in the morning.

Yeah I also had this happen. Seb explained the supercharger makes more noise and vibration which causes the knock sensor to detect false knock. He just had to desensitize my knock sensors to a safe level for it to stop pulling timing and blink every pull.

ANMVQ 07-07-2016 08:26 AM

Did this for me also, my headers and HFC's make a racket LOL

Im scheduled again for the 15th but he said that if someone cancels between now and then he will call me up. So much BS for a simple couple of pulls on a dyno that will take 15 min.

Nice..Top...do u happen to know what set up and fuel he was on? Like is he on the stock Stillen setup with ur kit or does he have any upgrades like pulley blower fuel system???

TopgunZ 07-08-2016 07:39 AM

We have been in contact through email and not on this forum and i have a few questions into him that he has not responded with as of yet. I know he has it pullied to max and i doubt E85 is very prevalent there. Not sure on the trim of the head unit. He does have an upgraded fuel system though.

BOLIO 671 07-08-2016 05:19 PM

Nice....none the less those are really impressive results

SlyZGuy 07-10-2016 11:20 AM

Was this kit released yet?

2016 07-10-2016 01:12 PM

Yes, talk to Topz. You can read the thread to find out all the details. Just waiting on the funds to pick one one for myself.
