Does anyone know if the Nismo Front Performance Damper gets in the way of the Intercooler on the A2A kit? Has anyone had to remove it?

TopgunZ 08-18-2019 09:06 PM

Now I need the old Stillen intake pipe. Anyone want theirs out of their garage?

DrBacon 08-19-2019 06:14 PM

I'm curious about the filter, I see it has been brought up previously in this thread but with no real answers. I have a buddy with a vortech 350z that had a similar type of filter, he kept running into issues with it getting clogged up quickly so he managed to hack together an intake out of silicon tubing that runs into the bumper and put a massive intake filter on that, the same should theoretically be possible for us, right? My only concern would be if the silicon isn't stiff enough it might collapse with enough air trying to flow through it.

It's a lot easier on the 350 it's more central with the hole

But can be done with a lot of work and blood sweat and tears

I got a big road trip coming up this week and it just dawned on me I have no toe hook right now

How do you guys not running the crash bar go about pulling the car if the worst happens

Does the FI tow bar work over this intercooler?

phunk 09-11-2019 03:35 AM

There is a hook in the rear on the driver side (just underneath).

At the back of the car ?
Dont think that will help me if I'm broken down on a motorway they most likely will want to drag it on from the front

The Fast Intentions crash bar works fine with Topgunz's intercooler.

espimax 09-12-2019 07:08 AM

Wait, the removal of the front bumper reinforcement is required for the air to air intercooler installation?

NorthStyle 09-12-2019 07:34 AM

Soho's bar should work as well, and is cheaper than the FI bar by about $150-200 last I checked

TopgunZ 09-12-2019 08:17 AM

Ill be selling these soon.

Correct, although a few guy's have modified it to make it work.

DrBacon 09-30-2019 09:08 PM

How did you all get that blue silicone coupler on to the supercharger? The only way I can see is having to take off the fender liner

shawnberry45 10-12-2019 04:23 PM

Hi all - ran a boost leak test and I have a leak at my MAF sensors (Uprev GT’s)
The gaskets on there appear to be rubber and look pretty beat and have cracks... any one familiar with part number for replacement?

A good fix for this is grab an o-ring and roll it on to the maf base, it'll seat nicely and make for a good gasket/seal.

anyone have any tips on getting the ypipe to fit better/easier? I've cut a decent sized hole in the radiator support so I know thats not an issue. I struggled for about 30-40 minutes trying to get it to fit

Are you spraying the inside of the silicon couplers w/ Windex? It's a really good lubricant for them. Makes them slide on much better.

DUSHER 11-12-2019 11:48 AM

I work at a dealership so I tried using an aerosol silicon lubricant. The rear throttle body connects up fine its the front one that is being a pain in the ***. Its almost as if the pipe needs to be dropped down further but to do that ill need to start cutting in to the metal.

cgr406 11-12-2019 12:16 PM

Mine was def a PITA to get installed. But after ample cussing & lots of Windex & lots of wiggling of the Y pipe, I was able to get it to fit. You certainly shouldn't need to cut anything.

Senna-F1 12-03-2019 08:33 PM

Has anyone removed just the supercharger? Looking for info on which bolts need to be removed, loosened, and what is involved in removing and reinstalling just the SC. Filter and hose couplers are no problem, just bolts and or belts are my question. This is part of a intake/filter redesign project. Unfortunately, I didn’t install or get to inspect this before it was installed so I don’t have a lot of info on how things are put together back there. Pics would be helpful. Thank you!

Engine went pop today doing final tuning on E85.

Depending what it is they are thinking it's a rod, but I'm going to see the tuners tomorrow for logs/check damage etc.. I'm going to ask for dyno sheets they got up to with air fuel ratios etc..

Anyone had to rebuild a motor in here, best sort of parts to go with?

What was your fuel setup to support E85?

I've got the S1.SE fuel kit but with a walbro 525 in it now instead of the 340, IDX 1050's for injectors.

All good will be back, not sure if I should go a built motor or just throw another 2nd handy in and go nuts

What power did it make when it let go? What were your injector duty cycles?

I am guessing you ran out of injector, she went lean and let go. That is what happened to my turbo build back in the day.

Waiting on all that info man, injectors can't keep up with 1050 idx?

Do you know what best parts I should be looking at? Trying to do a lot of research now, I need to get another block as mine now has a hole in it but thinking of just doing pistons/rings/rods/headstud kit and calling it a day, anything else? Maybe a nismo oil pump as well?

Suckerpunch oil pump. You might be able to get in on their group buy right now.

I'll have mine for sale if you want to buy the v1 kit. probably gonna sell it for 1,200.

NissanTracker 05-24-2020 09:18 PM

Just got the V1 kit installed on my 350z HR. Was not too bad. Like the first time though, some triming there and there. I'll throw a write up when I'm completely done. Have some 1050x's coming. Still on the Walbro 255 and stock cats as well. I'm shooting for 425whp... Trying to stay conservative.

I was able to use the intercooler brackets. Just had to trim the bolt holes on the ends and use a large washer in the middle of the bracket. Had to trim the 45* coupler from supercharger to lower IC pipe. From there, another 45* coupler to the Tial pipe (straight coupler was not going to do). Some trimming where the y pipe goes through the radiator support. A bit of trimming of the front radiator support. Yeah, y pipe was a bit difficult.
