yeah about that... i recently bought a DA polisher for my car. i used it to detail the swirls out of my Z and my lady's volkswagen. Would this be ok to use on a new fresh paint job with rattle can? using a cutting pad instead of the OP's polisher brush?

sorry to thread jack, just wondering if this is possible?

It's cool seeing someone else close by doing so much DIY work to their Z as well! Hopefully some day we run into each other at a OGC meet or something
Nice visual. First track days it's going to go to hell anyways haha.

Did you do the PTSD run? We shut down ALL of 270 around columbus. Cops blocked all entrances and we only used 1 lane. So freacking cool!

My primer I used killed my hand but the paints very easy with the tip! I prefer hand control just because it's more sensitive to feel.

I did, now undoing and painting.

I'm not! But hence the panel at a time. I'm good for about 2hrs then I quit and my arms tired.

Thanks. And I know haha. It was a old one just sitting around I needed for the pic.

Polisher brush?

I'm sure you could use a DA but I'm just doing it by hand for less chance of burning through. I'd buy a DA and do it if I did the whole car at once.

no I didn't get to attend car is out of commission till probably middle of next month. started putting the block back together last night but its all a slow process. deciding what turbochargers I want to run has honestly been the worst part of it.

Impressive work syno, a good paint job would costs thousands and not worth it on a track car but from the pics it looks like some quality work. With the thicker clear coat it should be much easier to polish out any future imperfections too.

I'm afraid its thin though. I have no idea just how thick 3-4 coats of a can laid. I remember a biker build off show the guy bragged about like 12 coats. After wet sanding you lose at least a few so I might be down to one now. I'm thinking clear bra before I hit the track.
