Steering Lock Elimination

Most likely on the new ones they basically removed the part and de-programmed support for it in the BCM and IPDM units. For the old ones we'd still need some kind of "fake" module that acts like the steering lock unit to fool the BCM (well, or just disable NATS completely via UpRev, but that's not really an option unless it's a trailered race-only car).

That would be my guess as well. I wonder how "smart" the steering lock is...

I was looking to see if the BCM was updated at the same time (03/11) and sure enough, it was. Actually it's interesting to see how many BCM part numbers there are:

10/08 - 10/09 284B1-1EA0A
10/09 - 03/10 284B1-1EA0B
03/10 - 07/10 284B1-1ET0B
07/10 - 01/11 284B1-1ET4B
01/11 - 03/11 284B1-1ET6C
03/11 - 09/11 284B1-1EA5D
09/11 - now 284B1-1EA7D

The IPDM module changed a bunch too, but not at 03/11, so my guess would be the BCM is what got changed to not look for the steering lock...
