Steering Lock Elimination
 

Okay, so we know Nissan eliminated the steering lock for 2012 models. But, I think they may have actually done away with it beginning in 03/11 for 2011 also.

Can somebody that has a 2011 manufactured 04/11 or later check to see if they have the lock? My bad if this has already been covered.

I have an 11, not sure when it was made, let me go check, brb.

I would be curious with what they did instead of the lock mechanism and see if it could be retrofitted to the earlier models.

Sub'd for more info on (possibly removing) this stupid part from my 09 before it gets on of us stranded somewhere!

^^Word. Im hoping mine fails before october so it will be replaced under warranty lol. Someone needs to get on this retrofitting asap if its possible!
