Steering Lock Elimination

Okay, so we know Nissan eliminated the steering lock for 2012 models. But, I think they may have actually done away with it beginning in 03/11 for 2011 also.

10/08 - 03/11:

03/11 - current:

Can somebody that has a 2011 manufactured 04/11 or later check to see if they have the lock? My bad if this has already been covered.

I would be curious with what they did instead of the lock mechanism and see if it could be retrofitted to the earlier models.
