Looking for honest/unbiased advise - Clutch/Flywheel/CSC Work

Anyone have any experience with the Southbend clutch/flywheel versus the Specialty Z kit?

Joe at Zspeed recommended Southbend Stage 3 daily clutch and their steel flywheel with new HD CSC for my soon to be turbo car with occasional road course track duty.

The specialty Z kit looks really nice as well - and includes a racing slave and lines that replaces the CSC and their flywheel is lightweight aluminum - supposedly it is still fine with the turbo and track weekends...

Yeah I'm curious if anyone has tried Specialty Z's CSC. It's different than Zspeed.

Bump to an old thread.

From what I read ZSpeed HD CSC still fails after a while. Looks like the Z1 CSC elimination kit is the way to go.

I am also wondering if anyone here has Z1 clutch and flywheel combo? I am more curious about the drivability and the chatter coz I won't boost my car in a near future.

Z1 flywheel is 17.5 ibs compare to south band 19 ibs. I met a local guy who has GTM stage 2 TT kit on his 370z. He told me he hated his os giken kit and said it's a bitch for dd especially on a slope. Then he switched to Z1 clutch/flywheel combo and loves it. Said it's almost like OEM and can hold up 500ib/ft of torque. So I am wondering if anyone else has experience with the Z1 kit? The other kit I am interested is the South Band Stage 3 Daily kit. Any info will be appreciated.

You can also check out the Specialty Z Steet max. Comes with a Tilton CSC and light weight fly. 3 different discs for your power level. Anyway chatters on launch a bit but, is very easy to drive. I chose to get the RJM pedal as well to get the engagement point where I wanted.
